Eh--hemmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... With all due respect, I think all those burgers may be clogging the blood flow to your brain. But don't let me stop you. Rock on, ye Aztec men (and women.)

Eh--hemmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm... I've made it plain on here that I think this team will win the MWCT. I still believe that. It begins on Valentine's at Viejas -- and the day after with a trip to Jack In The Box. In case you haven't noticed (and with losses like Cal and Fresno, there's a pretty fair chance of that), you can take your ticket stub the day after a home win to your local Jack In The Box and they'll set you up with a Jumbo Jack (with the purchase of a drink). Looking at the schedule -- both home and away -- I think it's time these guys went on a big-time run. As in... No more losses til March Madness. This requires confidence, competence, work, spirit, hustle, concentration, leadership, attention to detail, checking ego at the door, communication, and balling like they haven't done in at least three seasons. They've got the physical talent, but they haven't brought the rest of it in any sustained measure since the Seahawks were good. If they can beat Gonzaga at home, they should be able to beat the rest of the schedule. The remaining road games are very winnable if they do the work. I've got four tickets to free hamburgers on my desk (eight if you count my wife's). Aztec Basketball... Make Aztec Fans Have Heart Attacks Again!! Oh Sleepy...... I wish I shared your optimism! I am still holding onto a little hope but it is very small. At this point I would just be happy to win one or two games in the MWCT.

EHHHHHHH--- HEMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!! We can’t compete with the best of our conference foes. If we played San Jose and Air Force twice each the title would be ours.

EH-eh-HEMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM... I admire the op's optimisim. I really do, but with the way things are going recently, there will not be many ticket stubs showing up at Jack in the box in the near future.

Buh, buh... blech! Eh... HEMMMMMMMM... After our next loss, the original post will still be valid and will probably be re-posted. Man, I love how we have to be the ones to give ourselves hope – I mean since the team can't do it for us.

Buh... Buh... BLEEEEEEEEEE-CK! Eh-hemmmmmmmmmmmmm... Love the optimism, Sleepy. Unfortunately, this group is playing like your user name. Especially in the second half of games. IMO, in the last three games, there was the appearance of "give up" in the team. Made me think of Fisher's quote about not being able to coach effort.

Man, I love how we have to be the ones to give ourselves hope – I mean since the team can't do it for us. You have too much time on your hands. Now that it’s out of the way, let me say that I partook in a double western bacon burger from Carl’s right before the game. Perhaps the burger prophecy is real.

My hat is off to these young men and the great fans like sleepy who continued to believe. I gave into the negativity and became a doubter. I am ok with admitting I was wrong and it sure feels good. Today at 3 will be so much better with that secured berth and not wondering if the NIT was going to call. I sure hope to feel this same excitement and satisfaction a few more times this year.

Man... Who shuttled this poser's post back to Page 1?? Dude couldn't even get a Viejas tip-off time right two weeks ago with tickets and a flashlight.
Total has-been.

It was whispered, barely loud enough to hear over a breeze, that a new Hamburger Prophecy was afoot. Mr. in the Box himself is said to be very, very upset that hoards of Aztec fans have not been able to visit for their complementary burgers in almost a year now. Aztec basketball will not lose another game until two months from today, at the very earliest, when the Prophecy relinquishes its guiding hands to the universe and we are on our own. 2-0. 15 more to go. It is known.

I was visited in the night last night. It only works if it comes from Sleepy! 😂 No, no, no... That's "Mr. Sleepy" to you -- well, all of you, really. As in... "Yes, Mr. Sleepy. You were right once again..." But... Seriously, folks. This season is a gift. No matter the sport. None of these men and women who sport uniforms from the Maine Bears to the SDSU Aztecs had to do any of this. It's entertainment for you and me during this crap period -- but they are putting themselves on the line in a very real way to do what they love to do: From badminton to football. Predictions? Well, that's insanity until we get the cover on this pandemic thing. In a season where your opponent and tip time can switch at the drop of the hat... No predictions. No prophecies. The SDSU Aztecs hoops program is as likely to be in 3rd place in the NBA Eastern Conference standings and slated to play the Sixers as they are to be playing the Hobos in St. George, Utah (Not happening. I know.) BUT... I see the similarity that aztecincc picked up on to 3 years ago. And if I'm Matt Mitchell, I've already picked up the phone to dial Trey Kell as soon as my knee bent backwards in Logan. If you want to know their prospects: Probably the key moment to this entire season, as mentioned yesterday in the UT, is that the underclassmen were given a post-game dressing-down after Game 1 at Clune. That tells me that the upperclassmen have turned this whole thing into a business trip. With that attitude, they will be a lock for an NCAA spot. No more inexcusable losses. No more mental lapses. They probably don't have enough time to overtake a regular season title (we'll see about that). But upperclassmen pride, talent, and experience tells me you don't want the Aztecs lined up against you in Vegas come MWCT time. That locker room moment at Clune is very telling. Notice has been served. Climb aboard.
