I've made it plain on here that I think this team will win the MWCT. I still believe that.
It begins on Valentine's at Viejas -- and the day after with a trip to Jack In The Box.
In case you haven't noticed (and with losses like Cal and Fresno, there's a pretty fair chance of that), you can take your ticket stub the day after a home win to your local Jack In The Box and they'll set you up with a Jumbo Jack (with the purchase of a drink).
Looking at the schedule -- both home and away -- I think it's time these guys went on a big-time run. As in...
No more losses til March Madness.
This requires confidence, competence, work, spirit, hustle, concentration, leadership, attention to detail, checking ego at the door, communication, and balling like they haven't done in at least three seasons. They've got the physical talent, but they haven't brought the rest of it in any sustained measure since the Seahawks were good. If they can beat Gonzaga at home, they should be able to beat the rest of the schedule. The remaining road games are very winnable if they do the work.
I've got four tickets to free hamburgers on my desk (eight if you count my wife's). Aztec Basketball...
Make Aztec Fans Have Heart Attacks Again!!

With all due respect, I think all those burgers may be clogging the blood flow to your brain.
But don't let me stop you. Rock on, ye Aztec men (and women.)

I am still holding onto a little hope but it is very small. At this point I would just be happy to win one or two games in the MWCT.

The Aztecs desperately need to play their way into a 3 game MWCT. If they can do that, they have a chance to win.

We can’t compete with the best of our conference foes. If we played San Jose and Air Force twice each the title would be ours.

We've got to get Kell back and it's got to be sooner rather than later.

I admire the op's optimisim. I really do, but with the way things are going recently, there will not be many ticket stubs showing up at Jack in the box in the near future.

After our next loss, the original post will still be valid and will probably be re-posted. Man, I love how we have to be the ones to give ourselves hope – I mean since the team can't do it for us.

My crew of ten will be there Wed. for the Wyoming game as usual. Hopefully it will be an entertaining game.

Love the optimism, Sleepy. Unfortunately, this group is playing like your user name. Especially in the second half of games.
IMO, in the last three games, there was the appearance of "give up" in the team. Made me think of Fisher's quote about not being able to coach effort.

Once they got rid of the jack tacos, life was all downhill from there...

When my first serious girl friend graduated from CSULB with a degree in accounting, she got a job at Foodmaker. One time I met her on her campus for lunch, (don't ask), and the buffet menu included making your own Bonus Jacks, tacos and all the other Jack goodies of the era. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. :-))))
Let's see, consecutive bitch slapping's at home against Boise and Fresno State's, (all but ruining a chance for an undefeated season), the last home game of the season that couldn't draw 29 thousand with another ten win season at stake, a bowl loss to Army, the reality that the future of "SDSU West" isn't a given, a University President that comes with more questions than answers and a men's basketball program that has been, for its supporters, nothing short of a major disappointment.
Yes, the last few months have been one rough road for SDSU. But two things I'll grab hold of, Sleepy's optimism, (I respect this guy's opinions, ya know?), and my personal pride in being a graduate of San Diego State, (class of'75). Nobody can take Sleepy or my degree away from me. :-))))

Funnel your free burgers to Jalen, he needs to bulk up! the only way Jalen will bulk up is to have someone duct tape weights around his waist. but wouldn't be great to see him add another 25 lbs of muscle this long off season.

As I sit here crushing my first of four Jumbo Jacks to be had for lunch during this final four weeks of play...
The Hamburger Prophecy is alive and well.

Foodmaker Corps. Oscar's Drive Ins were the best. So may things have changed... The one on University near 40th St … I spent a few mealtimes there as a kid. Different world now. In many ways… You gotta buy a $2 drink to get a "Free Burger". Oh well. Nothing's really free, is it?
