www.washingtonpost.com/world/national-security/sessions-is-rescinding-obama-era-directive-for-feds-to-back-off-marijuana-enforcement-in-states-with-legal-pot/2018/01/04/b1a42746-f157-11e7-b3bf-ab90a706e175_story.html?utm_term=.e3e7f9f11b4aThe fight over legalization has begun. As I’m sure many of us in California have heard, is is now legal to purchase and use marijuana for recreational purposes in this state. Pot sales are sky high as users can now visit their friendly neighborhood dispensary, purchase an ounce of their favorite strain and get bonged out of their gourds. But not so fast. US Attorney General Jeff Sessions is seeking to crash the party with a rescinding of Obama-Era regulations which discouraged the enforcement of Federal marijuana laws in states which have legalized the substance. Marijuana advocates are now concerned as the potential of Federal enforcement looms on the horizon. After looking at what has happened in Colorado, I predict California’s homeless population will probably double within two years as a result of a new generation of our population being exposed to weed. This will probably get kicked into the courts, as this issue has become politically charged.
