we can not out recruit the P5 schools for high quality talent - Wetzell chose SDSU over Texas Tech. Lamont Butler had an offer from Washington.

Honestly 20 kids should commit to SDSU every class and volunteer to walk on. We keep 1/3 of them and the rest get cut

think Yanni chose Aztecs because he knew he would have better opportunity to get PT here also liked the beach
Texas Tech got an even better transfer
Washington is after some highly rated players also

Most have reasoned that our recruiting failures were in fact victories; that our open scholarships were indicative of measured restraint rather than of abject failure. Our last minute additions are better than the loss of our primary targets. We will see. I’m not convinced that Yanni will be an impactful addition (at least more impactful than the players that we failed to land.) Dutcher and the gang need to put together a good class in 2020. Most players in a good class are signed before the preceding season. Fingers crossed

Big jump from 3-star to 4-star and in the overall recruiting rankings. BTW, I was looking through both Kell and Shrigley's rankings and both were top 100 players, you would think we could get local guys to stay and play at home

would say we could shut this down as he has committed to TT -guys do move up after top 25 schools select them
thought Kell selected SDSU after Vandy or the other school he was looking at- had signed two freshman guards . Do not think Matt Shrigley was a top 50 rated player - would say near or closer to bottom 100 if that high . Did have numerous injuries in college

Really want this to work out so I can complain again about how dumb it is to remove all of our recruiting threads when a guy goes elsewhere.
