Unreal. As Dutcher said at the Brigantine event, as a coach your career is based on the decisions of 17-22 year olds. Not the most stable pack. SDSU's been amazingly scandal free from that perspective.

Mike Davis, Knight's successor at U Indiana, has thrown his name into the hat. Has been really good at Texas Southern. Could be a good hire. There is no reason, with the right support, that SJSU can't be a solid program. Davis could be interesting... The HS gym is a barrier though. Definitely need to up their facilities game. Agree though, Davis could be a big spark for them. Wojcik did a great job IMO getting them on track after the APR issues but Davis could generate more financial investments with his name/rep. Can they afford him is my question?

I haven't been to USF's but it's obviously 10x worse than Gonzaga's, which is awesome, and IMO even worse than SMC's bandbox (SMC has better seats). Santa Clara's is OK if I remember, but it's been a while? The point being is very much on par with Big West/WCC typical gyms, not the MWC which has a lot better facilities (other than Gonzaga). Means they have a bigger hurdle to overcome than if they were in the BW or WCC.

Yes, this kinda makes sense. Obviously the coach most certainly had no idea of the event, it it makes one think how many more issues like this may arise and the pickle the coach can be put in. Having this happen in your program more than once is a career killer unless your name ends in Pitino, Calipari, Williams, ....etc
