Your post reminded me of a series on PBS aired about 1981 entitled Danger UXB. The series was about the removal or detonation of unexploded bombs during the London Blitz. Some of the bombs were purposefully equipped with time delay fuses designed to delay the explosion to kill emergency responders and bomb defusal personnel thereby causing terror. I wonder if the Allies rigged any bombs for delayed explosion.
