The problem has been made worse by the lack of any real leadership for at least the last eight years and maybe as long as 24 years. We have been losing our position as a strong voice of leadership for a long long time and it has gotten much worse since Obama.

Good article with mostly good comments following. China is still the key with North Korea. Anything done proactively will have to be done either by them or with their cooperation.

One other thing that we here in the United States fail to comprehend is that those people do not think with the same rational as we do. We just do not understand them nor will we ever.

Tomorrow is the first day in generations that when answering the question, "Are we going to war with North Korea today?", the answer will be "that's entirely possible" instead of "no, no we are not." Gotta boost those ratings and get Bannon to sign off on the 100 day report card somehow, I suppose.

I´m getting the feeling that there are some key elements happening that we´re not privy to. I just dont see how a bunch of people in charge would be talking all this $#!+ without any intent. are we truly at the brink of another world war? And this time, we might not be prepared for how the rest of the world views us.

Written by a Navy man: www.stonekettle.com/2017/04/the-hubris-of-ignorance.htmlInteresting and fairly well researched. It ignores the experience and capabilities of the men in support of each of the Presidents talked about. I will not go into further, but you just have to look at the most recent cast of characters Obama had helping him make decisions and the vastly more experienced men Trump has chosen to see it a little clearer. It is not just the man at the top, but his entire team. If I need to go into further detail to explain it to you I would probably never be able to get you to understand. I will agree that this is very interesting reading from a fellow with the same background that I have with a near like view of things. I will even go so far as to start to follow what he has to say from time to time.

It is troubling indeed. Seoul is just 20 miles from the border, meaning they are within range of N. Korean guns. Someone in N. Korea gives and order and 25 seconds later Seoul is exploding.
After that it would be hell. Our bombers would have to scramble to take out those guns and blast the cr@p out of those installations. We would then be at war with a nuked up enemy who has been spoiling for a fight for decades.

With Trumps comments last night and The Sec of States speech today before the UN it will be interesting to see what Kim's reaction will be. The Sec of State really didn't deviate from what past administrations have already said but Trump did rattle a few sabres.

Who knows what Kim will do or what his true intentions are. Unfortunately the guy is only 33 and will probably be around for awhile unless he keeps ballooning at his current rate.
