Hope they are not just sending it to those who specifically support Aztec athletics but to all supporting alumni. I haven't yet received a survey email though I do get many others. Idk what email list I'm NOT on, but I usually get a ton of Aztec stuff. Bummed I missed that.

I probably didn't give the responses that the poll sponsor was looking for. I am more concerned about Aztec football vs MLS.

If your link to the poll is only one time use, it is not anonymous.

Just finished the survey. If this gets built it is going to be AMAZING!
Can't wait for the focus groups.
Go SDSU WEST!
Go AZTECS!

It went to the email addresses on file of, Football Season ticket holders and those who purchased single game tickets, Aztec Club members and Alumni Association Lifetime members. So, it only went to those who donated, or purchased football tickets

If your link to the poll is only one time use, it is not anonymous. It was not presented as an "anonymous" survey. It is being conducted through a third party.
I don't understand your comment. Is there a problem with that?

If your link to the poll is only one time use, it is not anonymous. The individual responses are anonymous to the sponsors, IF identified as such. Typically with research studies the responses are only analyzed in aggregate. Hence, the respondent is anonymous.

I did not receive the survey email. I usually get two copies of all the announcements. Apparently the ticket office and the Aztec club have separate email addresses for me.

Typically with research studies the responses are only analyzed in aggregate. Hence, the respondent is anonymous. You may be speaking correctly as one who knows what should happen. I am speaking as a programmer who has written many survey pages. To make them only good one time, you have to have a unique identifier in the URL variables and load a database with those identifiers. As they are used, you indicate so in the database - hence one time use. That means each survey can be traced back to the emails and therefore the respondent of a survey. I know because I did just that in one of my surveys. It was much easier to grab demographics from company records than to ask a bunch of questions on the survey about it. I don't know about expectation of privacy but it was never stated it was anonymous.

I know because I did just that in one of my surveys. It was much easier to grab demographics from company records than to ask a bunch of questions on the survey about it. Understood. Have been in the industry for 30 years. The respondent info is known to the HOST of the survey, but any good market research firm which states they're responses will be kept anonymous will keep all individual tagging information to themselves & not release it to the sponsor of the study (SDSU), and will also only look at the data in aggregate, not individually. Therefore, the respondent can be assured their responses will be kept strictly confidential unless they allow the host to share their contact info with the sponsor. Typically, you're a number or email address (in this instance) & not a known person. I think when people want to remain 'anonymous' all they really care about, and especially in this situation, is that someone at SDSU doesn't associate them with either thinking the idea sucks & would never buy tickets and/or is very interested, and therefore have someone call them as a result. Ultimately, it's about information not sales, and since they are never associated with the results they are anonymous. I actually don't even recall if they stated all individual responses will be kept confidential, but assume they did. Otherwise, they screwed up IMO.

I am an Aztec Club member but live in FL. So they must have limited the survey to fans in Ca.

Regarding anonymity, if I fill out this survey, sent to my personal email, that I actually have to confirm in order to even get to the survey, I would not assume it. If I had doubts regarding how the info would be used, I'd simply not complete the survey. I completed it, and volunteered for the focus group. Anonymity is not s o important to me in this instance.

It's going to be a good day today and I've decided to wear my Aztec Alumni gear as I'm being served cocktails and making money. But here's my question.
At what point is the University going to reach out to the community as a whole to gauge their interest in anything resembling SDSU. ESPECIALLY when their money is involved.
I know, a good indication will be in Oct. 8th. Whether the team comes home 3-1 or 4-0, if attendance is between 40-50 thousand, support looks good, if attendance is between 30-40, let the schedule play out, if attendance is between 20-30...fogetaboutit!!

Big article in the U-T today and I've seen it talked about on two or three local tv stations. Sounds like they're putting out the concept to all that will listen.

I am an Aztec Club Member and a Season Ticket holder but did not receive the survey. I get all kinds of other stuff so either I missed it somehow or they do not have complete lists.
