This is such a tired thread. The notion that the entire science community is on the take somehow? I have worked in marine science and have been around the science community for 40 years. I have been around some household names in the field as well. I know plenty of people in the science field who have nothing to gain from their belief in anthropomorphic climate change with eventual dire results. The changes we are seeing on the ground are dramatic. So tell me Win and Bill, how does it help...let's say a guy like Stephen Hawking, to believe in man-induced global warming? Believe or not, most what we can do to try to make a meaningful change is costly and does no good unless the real problem sources like China and India join in. Do you want to ruin our economy with efforts that in the big picture have no effect and may not even be needed at all?

What to do about climate change is a separate issue......and I agree complex.

I get that and still believe that just as most people vote their pocket book scientists slant their views toward where their bread is buttered. I also agree that it is two different issues.

So just to be clear - Sarkozy DID "come out" as a credentialed scientist, or no?

So just to be clear - Sarkozy DID "come out" as a credentialed scientist, or no? Just to absolutely clear, you add nothing of substance to any thread anymore. Just an annoying little voice in the background.

Thanks.
