Based upon what has happened since the "failed" coup in Turkey I am convinced that it was a false flag staged by Erdoğan. Based upon history, I doubt that the Turkish military would have staged something so halfhearted and doomed to failure. The quick arrest of 10's of thousands show that the planning and manpower were already in place. Erdoğan now has basically assumed dictatorial powers which I don't expect him to give up. He knew it was just a matter of time before a real and successful coup was staged by the military. He preempted them.
Thoughts?

It's almost laughable; this failed "coup" is really a successful PURGE by a tyrant. If we have nukes there, I hope they get removed right away.

I thought that how that thing played out was very strange from the start.

I hope we get all of our people out of there along with any nukes. I think I remember having either a Naval Comm Station there or a Security Group Base there or maybe both. Probably gone now since that kind of things is no longer needed.

I think I read where we have about 1100 people there and that the families had been sent home.

Looks like a complete purge of everyone who doesn't totally agree with Erdoğan. He is arresting, or firing, journalists and anyone who is associated with that cleric here in the U.S. The news also says that they will be making 'amendments' to their constitution.
Do we allow dictatorships in NATO?
