Britain is voting to either leave the EU or stay. Interesting dynamic with very close polls. I would want to leave, if I was there.

In the short run it might be bad for the UK economy and the US Stock Market but in the long run both will be better off. What were they thinking to throw in with the PIGS?

Looks like the Brits gave the big royal finger to the EU and globilisation. Great news. I wonder who will be next?

Looks like the Brits gave the big royal finger to the EU and globilisation. Great news. I wonder who will be next? One of the news stations, CNN I think, showed coverage from one of the English stations. They broke down the returns by geographic area. Very interesting. England and Wales were overwhelmingly for exiting the EU while Scotland and Northern Ireland were overwhelmingly for staying in the EU. They, English news people, predicted that Scotland would immediately call for another referendum to become independent from Great Britain and Northern Ireland would also, at a later date, rejoin the rest of Ireland.

Here are a few things to consider. There are about 3 or 4 times as many English working in the other E.U. countries than there are citizens of those other E.U. countries working in England. It is very unlikely those English working in the other E.U. countries will obtain work permits to remain working in the E.U. The citizens of the other E.U. countries working in England will return to the E.U. and take the jobs vacated by the English who have not gotten work permits. England will experience increased unemployment and the E.U. will see a decline in unemployment. So, the economy of England will suffer from the increased unemployment and increased barriers to trade with the remaining E.U. At the same time, the strength of the E.U. will be diminished simply because its 2nd largest economy has left. The combined effect on the English and E.U. economies will have and adverse effect on the global economy. I would not be surprised to see world markets drop further over the weekend and the U.S. markets follow suit Monday.

But Britain now won't have to follow all the stupid rules forced upon them by "higher" level government. 69% of those voting to leave thought the environmental rules were "a force for ill", for example. Their latest was to make rules about hair dryers. That is how you lose the women's vote.

Not the best timing for me. Just did a 22 days filming job for the "Beeb" and sent my invoice today. The contract I signed is for US $$, but the company just lost 10% at least. Interesting to see if it affects my payment schedule and what does it mean for future shoots that were scheduled for later this year?? A lot of instability. For those of you that think this is such a great thing. The vote was reactionary and the proponents have no detailed plan on how to proceed... thus the chaos. Trump would do the same thing to us. Feeding into anger and a desire for change, with no detailed plan on how to proceed. be careful what you wish for...

Standard and Poors just reduced England's credit rating to AA.
