I'm surprised Marcus Lee was invited over those that weren't. Guess that's the benefit of having Cal as your coach.

No love for the Mountain West: Surprised at these "rankings." They must have a system of ranking on potential...Kyle Wiltjer is a heck of a player and is in the 90's while Pope is in the 40's?

that is the problem , guys start to believe the hype hire an agent and can get left for a quick trip to another country . Just a thought just let any college player be eligible for the draft (unless some come out and say not even interested ), hold the draft , those not selected can go back to college if they choose ?
So what is the over under on how many MW guys get selected for the NBA draft ? How many stay in the NBA draft but do not get selected ?

heavily recruited by SDSU went to UConn go an agent and perhaps...should have stayed. Not talking about your comment but instead the tweet in general. Does Goodman KNOW what the kid's motivation for hiring an agent was? For all they know the kid may have had a very good idea he wouldn't be drafted high (most mocks have him mid to late 2nd), but it's possible school isn't for him or maybe he simply needs to make money now for his family & he's perfectly fine with going to Europe or Asia. It's also entirely possible he knew he wouldn't be eligible academically in the fall for one reason or another. He could still get drafted in the 2nd, get a guaranteed contract & play DL, or simply go to EU for a year. It's stupid to assume anyone but the kid knows what is and isn't good for them, given their own situation. Some do get led astray, but most have a pretty good idea about what they're doing and their odds of being drafted & their odds of playing in the League.
I know a kid who came out after his junior year & some ESPN buffoon said he was crazy and "made a big mistake" by coming out. Little did that moron know the kid's girlfriend just had a baby, they both came from poor backgrounds and they needed money to support the newborn. Plus, he hated school & a) wouldn't graduate even if he did come back for his senior year, and b) most likely wouldn't be academically eligible anyway.
He's now playing internationally making $65,000 a year + housing & supports his kid/girlfriend.....
Going pro was the RIGHT decision for him.
