Pretty much just stunk it up tonight. No excuses, we lost.

Actually, had they played as a team they might've won this game. Almost too many individual failures to count tonight.

Up eight and blow the lead. I just don't get this team. Not sure a good shooting player would even consider coming here

Think about it
Spencer can't shoot Zylan Can't shoot Dakarai can't shoot Shepard can't shoot Shrigley has been ice cold
that leaves the two guards carrying the load; therefore, the 2-3 zone wasn't really spread out because they didn't respect shep/zylan/spencer's jump shot

Our 18 turnovers ended up in 23 FSU points, otherwise we blow them out. This team needs a lot of growth to be ready for March Madness (if we get in).

The new mexico game drained the team emotionally. At times they played well, but went braindead for long periods. Lady luck finally caught up with them. Fresno never gave up and you gotta give them credit.

We were up by 12 in the first half and as much as 8 in the second half. I know basketball is a game of runs but just once would I like to see the team put the pedal to the metal and not let up for an entire game. I know it's not in Fisher's DNA but man, when we have a team on the ropes like we did a few times tonight, we should never let up. If we don't, well, tonight happens.

Everyone, including the coaches, IMO.
The players played down to their competition, again, and turned the ball over umpteen times. Kell was really rough after the calf confusion.
But going to Sky with his feet set and back to the basket on 2 of the final 5/6 possessions? Kell going to the basket on the final possession? Tough to really understand the thought process on some of that.
They'll grow and hopefully learn from this. Still can be a scary good team in March, but the drive and focus has to be there.

I know some people on this board hate to say it but our free throw shooting killed us tonight. It wasn't the only thing of course...
Turnovers were bad too, as there were so many lazy entry passes and late passes thrown.
Chol had at least one of his "hands of stone" moments and Winston disappeared altogether.
Lots of reasons why we lost but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say our horrible free throw shooting was the main reason; we only lost by 1 point. It's only my opinion of course but I'm tired of hearing and making excuses for the lack of fundamentals that this team has.

I believe the TV announcer said we were 2-7 in the second half right before Z missed the first of 2 (and then hit his next 3 in a row).

It's only my opinion of course but I'm tired of hearing and making excuses for the lack of fundamentals that this team has. Mostly agree here... The turnovers were the killer. So many really bad passes (often right into the hands of Fresno players) I lost count. And missed FT's down the stretch definitely hurt (most in the late minutes missed at least one), Kell missing both of his on that one possession was brutal. Chol had shown much improvement handling the ball in the paint in recent games... that one play he reverted back to the old Roberto Duran form. Horrible timing to have that lapse. But I disagree on the biggest factor... while the FT's were bad, the absolute killer was all the turnovers. Usually killed whatever momentum we had going, took away several of our shot opportunities in the half court, and many resulted in easy fast break points. Even with the bad FT shooting in the 2nd half, the difference in this game was the turnovers. Not even close.

We lost by a single point...one. Sure, one point is essentially one possession. And yes, we gave up many possessions by our many turnovers. But for me, free throws should be freebies. Even if we have the same number of turnovers, our guys hitting just one more free throw, and this game might have a different outcome. Woulda, coulda, shoulda, I guess.

Confounded by the seldom seen 2-3 zone. Looked like NM out there against the 1-3-1, like it was some new ground-breaking defensive scheme.
