Are there any more doubts after the New Mexico lost today?

Are there any more doubts after the New Mexico lost today? There weren't any doubts before that Lobo loss. Well, unless you work in the Mountain Goat Conference office.

That's all well and good, but we have 7 games left...I wouldn't count your championships before the champagne is flowing...

They still have to win at least tomorrow and Saturday to clinch.

Unfortunately, the MWC title doesn't mean much this year besides bragging rights/another banner. We need to win just about every game tif we want to secure an at large bid.

From Craig Thompsons office: "We will do everything in our power to make sure that San Diego State does not win the conference championship. This includes any and all calls from our referees. You can count on the fact that we will do everything that we can, including informing Garry Parrish, of anything we have that will help delete these guys from our conference championship."

A lot can go wrong in seven games, esp when each game will be hard fought.
I wouldn't be congratulating anything!
Fresno will be tough, start with that one.

Lets play the who do we want game for the 1 vs 8 game. Sure SDSU could collapse, but the odds of that plus UNM or Boise winning out are very slim.
I don't want AFA or SJSU, yes it would slightly help our chances of winning the MWC tourney but both have improved as season has gone on and are RPI dregs.
Don't want UNLV at there semi-home place, it's not that I'm scared of them, it's just it would be a harder than usual 1 vs 8 matchup for a team that is on the bubble.
UNM/Boise/Fresno are not going to be possible barring collapses.
This trims it down to Nevada/Wyoming/Colorado State/Utah State, looking at Nevada's upcoming schedule and how they have played I will eliminate them from contention.
Utah State/CSU/Wyoming are in similar places in kenpom, I will say CSU has played us close recently for whatever reason, Eustachy seems to always scare us though we do often come out on top so lets eliminate them. Wyoming has improved as season has gone
I think ultimately Utah State is the ideal matchup, They haven't beat anyone of note away from home, they aren't a total RPI dreg, they don't draw fouls, they are a mediocre rebounding team, and we handled them easily in our place.

Nah, he wants us to win every game in the regular season now; so when the conf tourney kicks off, they can screw us then and get a 2nd team in the dance.

Outside of making a 7th straight NCAA tournament, an undefeated regular season is the real quest.

Basically guarantees we hang a banner ... but I expect the players want to set records for wins but also realize 2-3 more losses and bubble bursts ... but revenge factors too. Fresno ended Cali streak last year, Boise swept us last year and New Mexico at the Pitt is always fun.
Hell of a ride so far and gaining momentum. Great job circling the wagons boys.

I think the Aztec players will come out angry tomorrow. When you are called lucky it motivates. Kawhi doesn't do luck

Outside of making a 7th straight NCAA tournament, an undefeated regular season is the real quest. This. It would be hard to give a conference champion with an 18-game winning streak anything lower than a 5 or 6 seed in the Tourney. If we lose one more conf. game and perhaps in the MGC Tourney, we'd be staring down the barrel of a double-digit seed. So let's not go there.
