Based upon the number of Anti-Hillary and Anti-Obama threads on this board, everyone knows who you Cons DON'T like or support.
However, there isn't one thread of support for any of the Republicans currently running for president. Very strange.
So Cons... Who are you supporting? And Why?
Us libtards want to know.

I'm for the most conservative candidate that is electable. Who that is just now, I can't say. I, of course, could and would support any number of the remaining candidates vs anyone the Democrats nominate. That said, I do think Trump unelectable and while I like the conservative credentials of Cruz, I think his attempted shut down filibuster will ultimately make him unelectable. And Bush fatigue will be too much for Jeb to overcome even though I think him a serious candidate. That leaves for me someone from Rubio, Kasich, Christie and Carson.
I'm waiting to see how Rubio withstands the current attacks and, if he can't recover, then its Kasich for me. If Rubio can beat back this attack, he would likely be the most formidable in the General.
Running vs Sanders would be McGovernesque and he is unelectable. Any GOP candidate would beat him. Hillary would cause the liberal establishment to hold their nose and would support her half heartedly. Rubio or Kasich with a female VP candidate would be my pick.

Trump is not my choice but he would get my vote over Hillary or Bernie. I like Kasich. Rubio is just not ready. Cruz has all the right ideas but is not liked and like Rubio, is a little wet behind the ears.

I like Carley and Cruz. I would settle for Christy. I will vote for whomever gets it. Being from California, I have no say in who gets the nomination or who becomes president, since California is so late and so blue.
Candidates whose exclusive experience is in the senate or house are not ready to be president. Presidents need executive experience. That eliminates Paul, Carson and Rubio. Cruz has extensive and impressive experience before being elected to the Senate.

I go back and forth about Cruz and in my mind despite his impressive experience before The Supreme Court is still a little green.

I would have thought Kasich too liberal for a Con. From my perspective, Rubio is the most attractive candidate, even with the the lack of executive experience. I think his demographic would really help. I think in the general, he could be more moderate and attract a lot from the middle.

Not sure I can be considered a con but I did vote for Romney. Last year I was looking forward to a Rubio vs Biden. Didn't want a Clinton like I didn't want another Bush. Sanders is way too left for me. Cruz, Bush, Trump, Carson, and Paul did nothing for me. Rubio now reminds me of someone who's constantly lecturing you.
Now Kasich is in the lead for me. Trump is the cons answer to Obama. He's going to always talk down to the other party and separate the country which half of you will say he didn't and the other half will say he did. I just don't see Clinton or Sanders being able to get anything done with Congress for the next 4 years so for the next few years the country just squabbles. Cruz and Rubio talk big but to me are more scary then if Bush was elected. I think Kasich cares about the country and wants to fix things working with both sides. He seems to have this calm approach. Looking forward to seeing him in more debates as he should get more time now.

Of the GOP candidates (including those who have dropped out) I think that all of them would do a reasonable to very good job as POTUS. With the exception of Trump. Initially I was interested in The Donald, but as soon as he started to shoot his mouth off, it became clear that the man is totally unqualified to be President.
Almost certainly, I will, as I have done nine out of the last ten elections, vote for the Libertarian candidate.
Sadly I think that the country has passed the point of no return and is on its way to being the North American version of Greece or Argentina.

I'm for the most conservative candidate that is electable. Wow, you must be for Hillary -- because I don't think anybody on the Republican side is electable and Bernie isn't exactly a conservative. I'm joking, in a way. This may be the first time where both major parties nominate somebody who is unelectable -- and one of them has to win. Personally, I hope both conventions are deadlocked and the Republicans end up nominating Paul Ryan while the Democrats turn to Joe Biden. Either would be preferable to all of the candidates that are running for either major party nomination. Yoda out... .

Any candidate that survives this whole show. But my favorite today is Trump. I don't see Sanders coming close and Hillary will be indicted.

Regrettably, leading a nation takes a very different skill set than does getting elected. And getting elected doesn't mean that you are able to lead. I'm kind of a pessimist. Yoda out... .

Of course the right wing clowns don't like Democrats. What do you expect them to do? Love their enemies? Right wingers have a deep rooted hatred of anybody who does not toe the far right wing party line. Ever hear them talk about how they hate even RINOS? You know, those people who do not think the government should tell everybody how they should live their lives within the rules demanded by Christian texts.

I would challenge you to tell me what there is for "right wing clowns" to like about either of the two Dem front runners or even Crazy Joe that could not be answered in a couple words for Bernie or the long list of Hillary scandals topped by her probable indictment. I am not that thrilled about most of the GOP line up either but there are at least a couple who could lead us in these troubled times.

Please keep the partisan sniping, from both sides, out of this thread.
I asked a serious question of our conservative members, looking for serous answers. Most of which I've received. Let's keep it that way.
