It was a great season. If They didn't lose to USA they would have been Top 25.

More incentive for next year's team to kick butt this every time.

It was a great season. If They didn't lose to USA they would have been Top 25. Yup it all came down to that loss. Maybe if Greene isn't suspended and we don't have the fumbles against Penn State we could have even had one more. Hopefully this offseason none of our 2 deep guys get suspended or kicked off the team. Seems every year we have about 4 players.

It was a great season. If They didn't lose to USA they would have been Top 25. Hope it didn't ruin the season for you, it sure didn't for me. I'd say the USA loss did not keep us out of 25 as their stature was too low to count for much. You can't assume that 12-2 alone would have done it because of the way the MWC is perceived as insignificant.

Definitely didn't ruin the season for me and it's water under the bridge, but we wouldn't have had any bad losses if it wasn't for that. I think we'd almost definitely be in there if it wasn't for that loss. Great season though, I hope we can build on it and even do better in 2016

In their "Way too Early 2016 Power Rankings", cbssports.com more impressed with Boise St than our accomplishments fwiw.

Guess what unless it is BSU - doubt MW really pushes that hard for SDSU . Would be great time to find out what B12 plans to do going forward .Did some one post that there are meetings to see if B12 would be forced to expand . If not then serious look at AAC .

It was a great season. If They didn't lose to USA they would have been Top 25. If they didn't lose to USA, they probably wouldn't have won ten in a row. They probably wouldn't have finished close to the top 25. No event in a college football season is truly independent.

To sum up: - #27 in Coaches poll - #28 in ESPN Power poll - #29 in AP poll
EDIT: Add #4 G5 (Houston, Navy, W Kentucky) & "A" grade from USA Today
SOLID!
Curious, does anyone think anyone out there reads #25 in the poll but doesn't look at "others receiving votes" and notice we're right there? Have you ever stopped at #25, when others are also listed? I haven't.
Remember when it used to only be Top 20, before expanding to Top 25? Anyone think it won't eventually be Top 30?
The one I'm actually most pleased about is the ESPN poll. I don't think we've flirted with anything top 30 on ESPN all season, so great to see us up there. I know a few of their writers are high on us next year.
Great season; great accomplishments. Won't hurt recruiting, assuming we don't change our recruiting philosophy.
Stoked for next year!

Excuse me, but how many times do you have to be told that a move to the AAC is only a lateral move? Absolutely no gain what so ever!!!!! They have lost all their prestige, and the P5 schools look/treat them in a similar fashion as they do our MWC. Just look at their current membership: Central Florida- had a good year or two, but losing season this year. Cincinnati- have been good, but we took care of them in the Hawaii Bowl, Connecticut- known for basketball not football, East Carolina- have been mediocre, you know up & down, but nothing to be scared about, Houston- Ok, one team I'll concede that had an excellent season, and won in a Bowl game over Fla.St. ( also, the team we should have been pared against in a Bowl), Memphis- had a pretty fair season & beat 'Ole Miss, but that is about it (didn't win conference), Navy- very surprising season, and I'll give them credit for that, SMU-(they still have not completely recovered from the Kiss of death from the NCAA for recruiting violations over 30 yrs. ago), South Florida-better, but nothing to write home about!, Temple- had a very good year, and give them credit for upsetting Penn. St., but did not win conference, Tulane- the Green Wave broke against many AAC defenses, Tulsa- they were better in Conference USA, not here! So, of all these schools currently in the AAC the only ones I would consider as teams worth playing would be Houston, Memphis, Cincinnati, and may be SMU. Temple, Tulane,Tulsa, E. Carolina, UConn, UCF, USF, and even Navy (except as an OOC) Don't excite me at all! They are no better than our current conference schedule as far as I'm concerned!

We are ranked higher than BYU, who didn't even get ANY votes in coaches poll. I will be doing some nose rubbing around here for the next several months, woo hoo!!
