If the Aztecs win out, they should definitely go to the Las Vegas Bowl. They will have won 9 straight (in dominating fashion) been one of the hottest teams in the country and, without question, deserve to go.
Las Vegas Bowl or bust.
Go Aztecs!

Just because they are one of the Pac-12 schools the Aztecs rarely play, I prefer that it be a SDSU-USC matchup.

Playing Central Michigan in the Holiday Bowl would do little for us, win or lose. Playing and knocking off USC in the Las Vegas Bowl could be huge, particularly in recruiting if we managed to knock them off, but first things first. Take care of Nevada and Air Force and them move on to your just rewards.

Sorry, I meant Poinsettia Bowl. the Holiday Bowl was created for us as a result of our success and now no longer has time for us.

That's why I love this board.
According to the AFA 2015 schedule the championship game will be played in Colorado Springs. Disappointing because both teams had similar seasons, getting bitch slapped by big boy teams while upending their MW schedule, (with one loss so far for AFA).
Unlike men's college basketball, (lighten up Aztec fans), politics drive college football's rankings and playoffs, so it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if AFA was "ranked" higher in the belief the game at Falcon Stadium will draw a bigger crowd. It would also bemoan the lack of respect for Aztec football.
Regarding the Vegas Bowl, when the decision is made as to where BYU will play, then we'll know if the MW will be represented in Vegas. And regarding a game against SC, count the money and get otta town. Please.
Oh, and regarding the Holiday Bowl, when the Zona schools left the WAC for the PAC-8, the Holiday Bowl was created to replace the Fiesta Bowl which ended its association with the WAC.
Still have the ticket for first game, BYU-Navy. During their time in the WAC, I believe the Aztecs appeared once. No respect.

First things first please. Take care of Nevada and then worry about where the conference champs is determined.

What's nice about men's college basketball is, you win the conference or the conference tournament, you get a playoff slot and go as far as your talent takes you. (Granted, "bubble" teams, a different story). Men's college football is, IMO, pure politics when the powers that be can get away with it. Apparently, State will be playing the MW Championship in Colorado Springs because they're not Air Force. Now the latest regarding the Las Vegas Bowl, this.. www.sltrib.com/sports/3231785-155/byu-football-hawaii-las-vegas-bowlsAgain, this is what happens when a bowl game feels it can do better than its current affiliation. I would love to see State walk away with a million+ bucks. But the powers that be are making it so much harder for us little guys.
