I agree with Yoda the students don't show any way so it won't matter that it's Thanksgiving weekend. I'll be there as always and hope we get 25k fans there as well.

I think Thanksgiving weekend will kill student attendance. LOL. The students don't go anyway! They have been a several games this year. Most recently vs. WYOMING there was a very good turnout

Most recently vs. WYOMING there was a very good turnout I was at the Wyoming game, fantastic attendance for the Students ---------- for the first half. The Student section emptied out at half time and they all left, they did not just go to the parking lot to drink, they left entirely. The school spirit of the students is not very good.

LOL. The students don't go anyway! yoda, with that statement you just proved how ignorant you are on that subject. There have been a number of games this year when the students showed up in big numbers! The students do not attend games like other school student sections do, not even close. All I hear is excuses as to why the poor little students can't go support their team and school. The Students should show up in big numbers to every game, not just a select few. My eyes don't deceive me.

I think Thanksgiving weekend will kill student attendance. The bigger concern is the general fan attendance. If there is typically more than a thousand students at the games I would be shocked. Alumni on vacation is the bigger issue. My hunch is that this is a well attended game. +35k

I will be there with a few people but we have historically had a drop in attendance Thanksgiving week.

At least. I would like to see around 40-45,000. This team is absolutely rolling right now, has already locked up a spot in MWC Championship game and deserves all of our support right now. Go Aztecs! I would really hope for around 40,000 very vocal fans. It's been a really fun season. We're favored by about 17, I think. Why not show up for a game that we have a good chance of winning. 8-0 in conference would be historic.

In a typical season, 15K or so students come to the home opener and then 2/3 of them never return. This year a lot more have been returning so I don't get the criticism of them above.

How about we not schedule the last regular season home game of the year to not fall on Thanksgiving Weekend every year.... Imo Not sure how much control we have over that. Even so, it is a great opportunity for friends, family, students & alum to go to an Aztec game because everyone is off. If they are actually in town or not is another question. It would certainly help if we had a better atmosphere (New SDSU stadium). Though if we can replicate the WYOMING homecoming game that would be great.

Even though there is nothing more irrelevant than the MW, given the "success" Long has had within this pathetic conference, there's never been a better opportunity for the team to house a decent crowd Saturday night. (I'll be there to bid adieu to some wonderful people until next year, the game, as always being secondary), So I would hope for a crowd of AT LEAST 35,000. Anything than that, and talk of a new off-campus stadium becomes a punch line. You really can't help but crap on the Aztecs every time you have the chance, can you? Just admit it. You hate the Aztecs. It'll give us all closure. You are correct. What a waste of time. Why even write the message. Dad, dad I just got my grades and I am going to graduate in thr Top 10 of my class. Boy, I am glad you are going to do that, your school sucks, this may be the only time you ever do something like this.

How about we not schedule the last regular season home game of the year to not fall on Thanksgiving Weekend every year.... Imo Amazing! Thanksgiving week is one of college football biggest weeks, with rivalry week and bowl implications. And a lot of stadiums will be full with appreciative fans enjoying all the traditions and fun. As well as I will be!

Administration does absolutely nothing to improve attendance..there is no creativity to execute marketing practices to improve attendance...
Also, when is the last time you have been cold called by the school to buy season tickets? Not 1 call from the university...emails don't work
It's obvious that alumni and fans ain't looking for SDSU football....the university needs to be more aggressive in finding more season ticket holders...based on current practice, they don't seem interested in growing their season ticket holder base...they just sit back and wait for people to show up...a formula of failure

If you do, do you glance over at the empty Student section game in and game out? Even the one game [Wyoming] where I was very encouraged to see the Students turn out in large numbers --------- they all left at half-time. I am not even sure how you can debate this point.
