Link to the article: hs.utpreps.com/news_article/show/571675Despite having made official visits to Nevada, Arizona, and Utah, Burgess had this to say: "I've got two trips left and I plan to take them," Burgess said. "I'd like to stay in California, but San Diego State is the only school in California that has offered. "I'm a little torn because maybe it would be good to get away." I sure hope he gets swayed to the Mesa. The Aztecs could really use his offense: In 9 games, he has 56 receptions for 1,087 yards and 16 TDs.

He wants to stay in Cali but doesn't want to go to SDSU.
That's how I'm taking this.

Many guys like to get away for school . They also are excited to play in the PAC . Do think it is important to see how the Aztecs do in their last 3 conference . Get into MW Championship game ,plus win it ? Bowl game . Also for a lot of WR's could be to observe how to we use the QB's and WR's the remainder of this year and outlook going forward . We have been a running team and successful . QB this year may throw it 15 times a game and some times it is to the RB's . DP is our leading receiver . If you are a WR that wants to catch the ball often, rather then block is SDSU the spot for you ? Running the ball and winning is great but Do we need to balance the attack a little more if we want to attract WR's and QB's that can throw the ball ? Just posing a question ?

Translation - I want an offer from SC, UCLA, or Berkeley. Kids are just drilled with the notion that SC and UCLA are the only Schools that matter in SD from pee wee to pop to HS.
This is why the notion of a fence is absurd. And here is something else to chomp on, SD football is average at best in CA. State is better off combing through the IE, LA, OC, Ventura and East Bay. JMO.

It's stings but yes. Unless SDSU football beats the blueblood/P5 programs on a regular basis, we will continue to be looked upon as a second tier D1 program. The wealthy non-SDSU alumni donors see it the same way.... if you can't win, you won't get the fat donations.
