I am too happy about the road win and the 5-0 conference record to look up what rules Ron's thread asking certain "nega-tecs" how they like Aztec football now ...
I see the thread is gone and I am wondering if Ron's in a "timeout" ...

There are personal attacks on this board *every day*. I used to "flag" the egregious ones but nothing was ever done.
But any time YOU get criticized, it's deleted or moved.
That's weak.
Either moderate the entire board, or stop deleting/moving only posts that criticize you. If you want to post you opinions on the board... fine... but in that case you should be treated like everyone else.

OF COURSE I read the posts that attack me or Aztec William - they're addressed to me, basically. The others? I don't have a chance to see them. The, "Report Post," button goes to a place that has hundreds of other notifications and that message often gets lost in the mix. The previous version of ProBoards had those reported posts going to a separate destination and they couldn't be missed. Now they're a lot harder to notice. I hated that change in functionality and am really disappointed that they haven't changed it back. This job is a hell of a lot harder and takes a lot more time than you think. So unless you're willing to do it yourself... |

When someone comes over to your side, don't bitch about them having been on the other side previously. Don't be a sore winner. Well, unless your real goal is to continue conflict where there otherwise would be none. Let that sink in... And, by the way, the, "Have Their Say," motto refers to commenting on Aztec Athletics (or the other STATED topics on any given sub-forum), NOT about individual board members or staff - unless it's on this specific sub forum where that kind of feedback and/or venting is absolutely welcomed. If you put out a poll regarding you and William remaining as Mods, I believe you would be voted off the island. |

That board is his baby. It's why this forum exists. He combined his love of Aztec Athletics with his interest in politics and world events. I don't step in with that forum. I view that one as it's own entity and the rules are a little looser there because of that. How? I'm trying to take myself out of that forum as a topic (and have been trying to do that for a couple years). Whenever someone gets personal and makes me the topic I move the comment or thread to the Feedback forum where it is a legitimate topic. I am CLEARLY not a legitimate topic on the Aztec Sports forum. I'm the first one to say that... Sometimes I read things that just don't make sense. Saying that I'm making the Sports board about me doesn't make sense since I'm doing everything humanly possible to remove comments about me from that forum. That's not the appropriate place for comments about any other member, and for those who want to discuss moderation decisions or philosophy that's why we have the Feedback forum. |
