Price is consistent, Penny hits the HRs Price can go long too. Busted a 40+ run last night. I love they way he hits the hole in the line. Explosive. We're in good hands at RB Yea, Penny is better out of the backfield catching passes. I'm not too concerned about our run game right now, more our passing game.

Winning cures attendance problems. It's complicated, however, by folks that constantly run down our program even when winning. Well, the program is what it is. Not great, in fact not much better than average, but also not horrible. As I (and others) have said, we will not begin to fire up the natives until we can win championships and beat a few P5 teams. In addition to many losses to P5 schools that were not close, one can also point to quite a few missed opportunities. Here is the list I compiled, starting with Ted Tollner's 1997 team and extending all the way to last year. 1997 Arizona 28-31 1999 USC 21-24 2000 Arizona St. 7-10 2003 Ohio St. 13-16 2004 Michigan 21-24 2008 Notre Dame 13-21 2010 Missouri 24-27 2012 Washington 12-21 2013 Oregon State 30-34 2014 North Carolina 27-31 Ten losses to current P5 schools by a total of 43 points. One does not need a math degree to realize that those 10 losses were by an average of 4.3 points a game! When do we get to benefit from the law of averages? You think that the program might be a bit more respected if we had won even half those close games? I certainly do. And we could also check the records and find a lot of close conference losses that hurt just as much. You think that coaching may have something to do with this? Bottom line: We are really not much if any better than several other MWC schools, all of which are clearly inferior to BSU. Pointing this out is not running down the program. It's just facing the reality of what Aztec football is under Rocky Long; AzWm

I guess this would be the time we'd start seeing Horton run Penny up the gut.

Will they burn Juwan Washington's red shirt now?

Will they burn Juwan Washington's red shirt now? Doubt it... we still have Penny, Price, and Stamps. They should be more than adequate. I'd like to see a lot more handoffs to Penny & Stamps

I'd like to see a lot more handoffs to Penny & Stamps Since the air attack is weak, I'd like to see Penny as the slot receiver more. At least Penny gets separation and puts pressure on the opposition's D!

At least Penny gets separation and puts pressure on the opposition's D! Let's go with Penny and (when he returns from injury) Pump as our WRs and rotate Price & Stamps at RB. Put your best players on the field. Yes, this is a *little* TIC, but not all that much.

Run up the middle, run left, run right, and then punt.... How exciting?

Run up the middle, run left, run right, and then punt.... How exciting? You should stick with dribbleball, a sport you might know a little bit more about. Most of us would be more than happy with a similar win at Hawaii this week. If you want excitement try the movies.

Never liked that term. Pump has one. We had a badass named Lynell Hamilton who suffered one of those, and was never the same. I believe Hamilton had more than just a High Ankle Sprain. Didn't he also have a broken leg which prevented him from coming back right away, and missing a whole year after that?

Faulk had the high ankle sprain as a pro, it slowed him down for part of a season with the Rams(?).

Run up the middle, run left, run right, and then punt.... How exciting? Simple and astute statement. There has been a lot of discussion on this board on these lines and everyone is getting hung up on the "exciting" part. To me the problem is the result part of "punt." We've become "3 and Out U" Boring is one thing, boring and ineffective is a train wreck.

Panther, do you know why we have so many running backs? It is because of the offense we run. The type of offense that many on here loathe. It's an offense that is killing attendance. We've got some really good running backs, but with the completely predictable play calling the offense is nowhere near as effective as it could and should be given the talent. You do realize attendance is better now than when we ran the spread with Chucky and Craft don't you? It isn't the offense that keeps people away. It's the lousy San Diego sports fan

I am on the edge of my seat for each and every third down. In all honestly, the staff just does not seem to have the confidence in the passing game to throw unless they have too. Play action just isn't as effective this year as it has been in the past. Perhaps its b/c our QB is not all that accurate and the wide outs can be covered 1x1 (more or less) and everyone knows it so they don't bite on the run as much.

Washington State is one.....lets see CAL tie is another...then the gap is even smaller!!!
