Greenlee is the 1st String QB but no need stopping your Belushi-like rant...please continue, it's entertaining. I read your posts out loud with Scruggs and Flatt playing in the background. It's awesome. 1st string? Really? Fresno is bad. Flat out awful. Beating them is no great accomplishment. It beats the hell out of losing to them, but - come on! That was a horrible game and you know it. And we got our asses kicked statistically against South Alabama. Rocky and company are doing nothing to win over the needed new fans to keep this program alive. Rocky even mocks the idea that he's supposed to help win over new fans and sell tickets. Is that what you want? To see the football program shut down? Because it can't survive at a half million a year in the red forever... Hyperbole noted. You can keep your strawman and use it as a halloween decoration. No one here who are football fans wasn't that. (Some T-shirts do.) Stop putting people in absolutist corners and creating false positions for them.

I would have enjoyed reading the comments had we lost. They probably would have been more positive.

Are we on the right track with Rocky as HC?

My memo for him is short and sweet:
Quit.

My memo for him is short and sweet: Quit. That's a little harsh. I would merely encourage him to retire... I've asked for "retirement" for too long, now. I think he actually heard me and did so. (just keeps coming in every day) As far as harsh goes, if you were there last night, then you witnessed harsh. I can't remember when I was at a less entertaining, more boring football game. After all of the hullabaloo about this year's team and the program and all the QB choices… it's like they knew ahead of time what the problems were going to be. I bet if they'd have known the OL would suck so hard they'd have made up some kind of ridiculous nickname for them, too - as in the "The Aztec Wall" LOL He needs to quit.

If it doesn't fit your black/white box, sorry. I don't like how certain obsessive, polarizing people try to force extreme positions and fail to understand the middle.

Of course we're not Big Cat, but it's time to ease up on the hating. We get that you want to see the head coach replaced, many, if not most of us agree with you. We also get that you want to see the program eventually become as celebrated as the MBB program. However, I'm starting to be a bit concerned with the repetitive vitriol. I mean are we getting to the point where you're going to post that the sun came out in San Diego....ergo Rocky should be fired? Stressing over Rocky won't yield any positive benefits for you, and there will always be those who want to disagree just for the sake of argument. Resist, life's too short; and worst of all if you blow a gasket now, you won't be around to see Rocky cut loose at the end of the season. Besides there's plenty of other things (many named Sterk) to complain about. Life is good.

There's no middle on this one. Either he stays and you get the same old crap as you're seeing now, or he goes - and there's at least hope for the future.

The entire west division is horrible. The west won't be about who the best team is but who sucks the least. Notice our offense struggled when we passed first or got penalties forcing us into passing situations? When we ran first and set up the pass, our WRs got open like you pointed out. They didn't beat coverage. Coverage got sucked up looking into the backfield So, in other words, this is a very deficient team. In YEAR SEVEN of the rebuilding and YEAR FIVE of Rocky being in complete control. I would suggest you look at Rocky's record in New Mexcio, particularly 2008... I never said it wasn't. I am just for running plays suited for the personnel. Name one other coach who did better at NM.

No one, but Rocky's results here are EXACTLY the same as they were there, indicating that this is his ceiling, despite better facilities, location, etc. And the program is regressing, which is disturbing. Rocky's peak was in 2012. Three seasons ago.

There is nothing wrong with being critical of the head coach when he has been consistently underachieving (and in his SEVENTH year here, fifth as head coach, this is clearly underachieving).

Dear Rocky:
Pumped 13,000 points to get to San Diego, VIA LAX, (SOCAL freeways are total crap, but I digress). When I finally made it to the Q, I joined a tailgate in progress with long time friends and fellow boosters. I later sat in the section that had even more friends and fellow Aztecs which made for an incredible evening. At halftime, (and beyond), I sat in the bar and interacted with even MORE friends and boosters. A small post game tailgate topped off a truly enjoyable evening, (then first flight home).
During events such as this, the game has been secondary for as long as I can remember. Other than two big offensive plays, the game was about as exciting as watching grass grow, nothing new. I was pleased however, that the "announced" attendance was over 29,000. (I know I got my cap, cool).
As I was sitting in this stadium it was easy to look back on all the years and memories, some good, some not so good. Granted, in a near "wine stupor", I finally concluded, if the Chargers leave, Aztec football is f**ked.
Now, I could be proven wrong, but only if ultimately you and our illustrious AD are sent packing, will this program have any chance of generating sufficient community support to justify its continued
existence. Of course that would involve finding those with leadership skills that could generate the necessary community interest and support. Nothing personal, boss. Just my personal opinion.
