Awesome news. Our scout team could give a lot of college teams trouble.
Great add, and great he will have a year to develop his game.
Recruiting for next year just got a little easier as well.

Terrific news! Makes me laugh just thinking about those who worry and panic so much about our basketball recruiting. JAM Center is huge...our fans and arena atmosphere are even bigger. Keep it up people. Never let an opportunity pass to tell anyone on our basketball staff what a fantastic job they are doing and how much they are all appreciated. We are riding a very special wave..and there is no reason it has to slow down.

I think we now know 4 of our 5 starters in the 16-17 season assuming pope leaves barring some shocking development
Jeremy Hemsley PG Trey Kell SG Montaque Gill Caesar SF Nolan Narain PF/C
I don't see shrigley starting, he will be coming off a serious injury and doesn't have close to upside of montaque (don't say this is a shrigley bash, I think he has solid potential). This leaves 1 open spot and cage actually would fit here decently, wouldn't need to score much as all 4 of those guys have considerably scoring potential, and he can use his length defensively and on the boards. Cheatham could definitely fit if he progresses as well with his rebounding and shot blocking potential at 4 though you might not want Narain at 5 (i'll believe Cheatham can shoot when I see it consistently in games).

Good get. Has the physical tools to be a very good defender as our coaches usually get the best out of our players on that side. Struggled shooting at Missouri but gets to the basket and draws fouls. Should fit in well with our defensive thug style of bball. He is welcomed.

Don't get me wrong but the scout team looks pretty good right now.
SG Parker U'U - Hartford transfer SG Ben Perez - ex-Air Force SF/PF Max Hoetzel - IU transfer SF Teki Gill Ceaser - Mizzou transfer PF/C Nolan Narain - Red Shirt? SG/SF 6th man Federico!! SG/SF Shrigs if he comes back in Feb/March?
That line up can come in second or third place in the MWC and first in the WAC, Big West and WCC (sorry Zags, suck it!)

Add in Coach Fish, The Show and you have a top 5 program. (Yeah....I said it!) I must say, when I was in school going to games in Peterson Gym (& Sports Arena) there was no way I would have believed you if you told me the program would be this respected nationally. I feel very lucky to have seen the growth during my lifetime.
