I don't know about hammer (depending on how many points you consider hammering), but very much agree with picking Utah. I think Michigan is getting a big Harbaugh bump and while I'm sure he will ultimately be successful, it's his very first game and Utah went into Michigan and handled them pretty easily last year. If by bump you mean decent coaching, I agree with you. I think it will be a tight game and the spread is right.
As for Temple and PSU, Vegas thought PSU would easily beat Temple, hence the 14 points on the road. The betting public said not so fast and the line corrected to -7. That says to me that insiders believe PSU isn't as good as Vegas thinks they are.
Like I said, I think Harbaugh will be successful there and I think decent coaching is a big understatement, but I don't think he can fix everything in his first game on the road against a team that handled them pretty easily at home last year. I wouldn't be surprised if it was tight because UM should have a very good defense, but I'd be surprised (though not that surprised given Harbaugh's track record) if his impact on the offensive side is already felt this early on.

Lets hear some guesses on Cal hosting Aztecs line coming out on Sept. 6. I'll say Cal -17. Id like those odds a bunch. I'd say Cal -13. If the Aztecs lose to USD, it could be Cal -113.

The lock of the week is the Utah $$ They will hammer Mich. I think Michigan will beat them. Harbaugh is an immediate turnaround specialist. He gets the max out of what he has to work with. His act wears thin with pro players, but in college they graduate or leave early before they get sick of him.

College football season opens tomorrow with North Dakota at Montana. No line since it is FCS. I favor North Dakota by 3 in that game.

We played Temple last year and it was 6-6 halfway through the third before we pulled away from them. They had a very good defense and I believe that they return everyone. PSU's terrible offense last year has Vegas nervous. It should improve but the question is, by how much? I'd like to make a request of you and all posters who are supporters of a program other than the Aztecs. Please identify your affiliation so those of us reading your posts know who you are referring to when you say " We played Temple..." You can put that information in your signature or status. Click on "Profile" in the menu at the top of the page. Select "Edit Profile" then "Personal." Scroll down to "Most Recent Status" or "Signature." Enter your school and team name in either place. That will show up on every one of your posts and will help us understand your posts better. Please understand I am not trying to pick on you personally. This request if for all of our guests from other programs. Thank you. EDIT: Or you and others could do what droski did by using their school logo as their avatar. That might be even better. Not a problem. Done.

The only competition Grambling will give them will be with their band at half-time. Lets hear some guesses on Cal hosting Aztecs line coming out on Sept. 6. I'll say Cal -17. Id like those odds a bunch. Line should be Cal -3.

Harbaugh...He MAY last 3 years, doubtful. He is trouble, look at his history. He will get Michuacan into big time trouble soon. Lots to discuss.

The lock of the week is the Utah $$ They will hammer Mich. Utah is very very tough at home, I think they will be a tough out for Michigan even with Harbaugh. He came in late and didn't really get a chance to get a top recruiting class, they will fight harder for him than they did last year for Hoke but I think Utah will win that game.

Boise State is nationally ranked what, #23 or something? Plus they're the #1 G5 team. So UDub being 11 point favorites is going against the grain. Hard to figure. You're reading it wrong. The plus +11 means that Boise is Favored by 11 at home. Minus means that you are favored.

For the bettors out there, what are your locks for this week?
Interesting that Vandy started as a -3.5 favorite at home versus Western Kentucky. Now they are a dog at +2.5. Baylor at SMU started at -20 Baylor but went up to -35.5!
