CSU and most mountain schools have major advantage playing in altitude and terrible place to get to , as most schools in the West Division can attest to . So no if I did not have to travel there I wouldn't either . They are going to have to travel to quality schools . If they want any chance of getting at large bid for MM or even they are going to have to deal with the situation . The goats won't travel and IMO they really don't care how it affects them, even though they'll say otherwise. Playing all those s#!++y schools in their arenas pads their win record and also saves their legs. Their main objective is to beat us (being the favorites), and win the goat championship to get that auto bid. We on the other hand schedule for ranking and to get a good seed. I think their leeching off us is an injustice we're forced to deal with, as long as we're in in this conference.

Respect was FSU is doing , as others wiling to put together a decent OOC schedule . While Larry is just whining and his team does not deserve any at large bid . He could schedule some decent away games . Most of those who rate schools , are not going to give his school any thoughts when they rate schools , shows what a joke his team is even if they go undefeated in OOC . Not much chance for a bid to MM or NIT . They live off of beating the quality schools in MW . Notice what pre season T's they get into ! If MW had any guts. they would say something , but little intestinal fortitude there .

Shouldn't these be in Recruiting?

Agree this should be in recruiting
Do wonder if Recruit PF Donovan Mitchell #149, 3*, has read the comments about how difficult it is for CSU to schedule games .He also is considering ASU and Nevada

Shouldn't these be in Recruiting? Here's what happens, if I post MWC recruits in Aztec recruiting, many ask why are posting if we're not recruiting him? I created this Monthly MWC MBB thread as a catch all for evey thing basketball.

I don't care where they go, I hunt them down and find them and read your stuff. You are a good poster and I appreciate you adding substance and facts to the board. It is very refreshing! Go Aztecs! Go Gundo!

Information is good . Suggestion. If it is about 2015-16 season this it is in the correct section . If you are talking about 2016 recruiting or 2017 then it may be better situated in the recruiting section .

Kobi Simmons is headed to UNLV for his second official visit on Friday following a trip to Kentucky last weekend. He said, “Cal [Kentucky head coach John Calipari] let him know their plan and they want him, so he enjoyed it.“But he said he wanted to take these other visits.”
He'll be at UNLV Friday evening and then a trip to Ohio State the following weekend. He is considering those three schools along with Georgia, and will make a decision sometime after the Ohio State visit the weekend of Sept. 12.
It really blows me a way that UNLV get these quality looks given they have been medicore for the past 10 years.

I created this Monthly MWC MBB thread as a catch all for evey thing basketball. Understood. I think if you post individual threads on players we are not recruiting in the recruiting section it's probably a little much, but seems like one thread in the recruiting section like this would make perfect sense. Just my opinion. I read this thread and think recruiting, not conference developments. Your initial posts and info about schedules made perfect sense here though since it's about this years teams, players or rosters. Anyway, just a suggestion to a complaint.

From today's Coloradoan, the team that went 27-7 and 13-5 in the MWC are having trouble scheduling against high caliber NCAA basketball teams. “Nobody wants to play us,” Eustachy said. “Our teams have always been tough to beat at home. Our fans would love to see UCLA come in here, for example, Duke come in here. If they can get them to do that, we’d sign the contract yesterday. “… We do the best that we can under the circumstances.” www.coloradoan.com/story/sports/csu/mens-basketball/2015/08/26/eustachy-csu-struggles-build-ncaa-worthy-schedule/32438251/Date Opponent

The former New Mexico guard Hugh Greenwood has signed a two-year contract with Adelaide to play Australian Rules Football, he played as a teenager prior to joining the UNM program. After completing his career at New Mexico, Greenwood spent some time with the Utah Jazz’s summer league.

Every non P5 schools needs quality OOC schedule if they want any consideration for at large bid in MM . MW schools similar to CSU needs to decide if it is a player or complainer. Rams , Lambs or goats . They are going to need to get into quality preseason T' and schedule some quality road games during OOC . Going 13-0 in OOC if you do not play a top 50 team means little . It only hurts quality teams in the MW , as they live on beating them during conference play . Would be nice if the MW had some guts to tell them . But then we know who runs the conference.
