listening to the 1090 guys question Rocky and he was questioned as to why he is not going with Chapman , thusly letting him learn on the job as he is the heir apparent in 2016-- or so it seems as Rodrigues is now clearly #3. I'm thinking we have a big opportunity to win MWC west at least so they are going with Smith's experience. Or , is that just how it seems in July? Your thoughts

I still have J-Rod at #2 Regardless.I have watched Chapmans high school videos and spring practice and I am not sold also because his stats also he is a redshirt freshman. What I figure is it is a ploy to hype up the competition before the coaches decide who the starter and second string actually are going to be.

No way does Long risk going with a RS freshman unless Smith is a total bust. This seems like a make or break year for Long.

Based on reports, J-Rod has shown no accuracy at all during the offseason. If he comes in we are complete toast. Chapman has a better chance of being successful.

No. J Rod is playing like the #3 QB right now. That's why he's there.

Ruffled your feathers did I? Ha!!!!! Not a coach, but close enough to know that fisherville is correct is in post. Refer to that. That doesn't mean that J Rod can't overtake him for #2. You have all the right in the world to predict that J Rod will end up at #2, but your assumption that it's a ploy at this point is absolutely wrong.

No feathers ruffled just not sold on Chapman at a buck 80 he might get killed if we put him in there.A three star I dont even want to hear about until the third year.We do shuffle look at the depth charts more often.

Don't be a guy that goes by how many stars a player has by his name, or his weight. You can be played to be a fool. And don't start me on the amount of stars a guy has by his name. That philosophy has been proven wrong countless times. Also, as far as the weight issue, you and I can name a s##t load of QB's that are light. Drew Brees, Russell Wilson just to name a few. So if you want to believe the coaches are pulling a ploy prank at this point between the two, go right ahead and you'll be wrong.

Brees 200 lbs at least and Wilson is twice as fast wait is this Mr. Chapman? No I'm not, but if you want to play that game we can. Look, I get it that you'd be a coach that would look at a players weight and the number of stars next to his name and assume that he shouldn't play until year three,(lmfao) and I'm EXTREMELY happy that you're not a coach so you won't have a chance to ruin someone's career. I also get that there's a good chance that you're related to J Rod, the way that you're backing him, so you'll come up with any excuse in the book to rationalize it, you know, "Oh, Chapman's a three star," or "Oh, he's too light," etc.... etc..... Lame.

To be fair. I'm not saying J Rod won't be good, or overtake Chapman at some point. Chapman's simply outperforming him right now. That's it.
