We say the same thing every year, but this time it's down to the wire. If we can't win the thing with the qualitative advantage we seem to have this season, we never will. We'll lose to Penn State and Berkeley, but this time we must clean up against everybody else. No meltdown against a San Jose or a Vegas. People are watching.

We were not favored last season - this year is different. 177 points means the 3 writers who picked FSU all picked us second. BSU's 177 points means one writer picked them 3rd. The goal should be playing in a New Year's bowl. That means beating either Cal or Penn State and winning the MWC Championship. |

The team's goals are to win the MWC Championship and reach the Fiesta Bowl. Basically, do what Boise State did last season.
With new stability and improvement at critical positions (QB, defense), we should be in much better shape than last season.

Go for it! Is it bad that I just expect another disappointing loss or two along the way that keep us in the mediocre level that is just high enough that people won't want to fire Rocky? |

As enduring as is my support for Rocky there is no reason to not beat Fresno this year. We finally have the talent to overwhelm them. So to me October 3 is the watershed game.

Rocky is already feeling the heat with expectation to come in 1st place.. No confidence in the guy... He gives you a crappy line like, "id rather be picked last that way the players can out perform the medias expectation." Grow a pair and say you will have the team ready to play at a high level and will try to live up to pre season expectation. #No more excuses#

I expect no less than a 9-3 (7-1) record this season. I am hoping for 10-2 or 11-1, as that would put us in the Fiesta Bowl.

According to all the preseason predictions SDSU should beat FSU like a rented mule. I would like to point out that Fresno has won the last 3 consecutive games against the Aztecs since joining the MWC 3 years ago. I think it will be a close physical game. I heard due to multiple player suspensions SDSU will be a little shorthanded for the Fresno game. |

No one should take Fresno lightly. They may have found a good QB transfer from WV and they have good receivers. DeRuyter can coach and they had perfect scheme to get us last year. Should be a good game not a blowout.

I think our QB who is no longer with team led the conference in interceptions thrown with 18. He was no Derek Carr that's for sure. |
