Nolan not returning to IN. Coming here in fall?
@hoopshypeca: FAB 40 no. 3 ranked 2016 6'9" Nolan Narain (SDST) has ruled out return to La Lumiere, IN. Reclass or return north of border a possibility.

Has there been any verification what Nolan will do going forward ? understand SDSU can not say anything until he actually signs for 2015 or 2016 .

75 days...long time. Saw someone with a Kansas Jayhawk hat today. I told him he was 5 months early. He had no idea they were playing here this year or that we beat them in their house as part of the home and home. Must be quite a casual fan.

Man... It is 100% because of BJ and Smart, but if Narain goes to Canada for a year I'll be worried. This is one we can't afford to lose.
PS- 75 days?! That's soon enough for me to get excited.

think his UPLAY Canada AAU team plays in a T starting 7/22. There will be numerous events going on in Vegas this week for basketball, evaluating possible recruits , plus other areas across the country . Does he play then go over his options for the 2015-16 season ?

Zeigler was on 1090 today . He has talked with Nolan and his family . Great down to earth supportive family. Nolan has taken all the classes he would need to reclassify for 2015 . Nolan realizes he is going to have to spend a lot of time in the gym working on his game learning from coaches,Spencer , Chol, Shepard , Pope , Zylan , D. Allen red shirting so he could hit the ground running in 2016 when he would be really needed . Also knows he must spend time building up his frame . Zeigler said Nolan would make his decision in August .

Sounds like Narain will be on campus for the Fall, Ziegler sounded positive about him being in SD, learning BB, getting stronger, hitting the gym and being in a good environment. BTW, Fisher not only sent Kawhi to the NBA, but Webber, Rose and Howard. Fish can back it up. I do have some anxiety about Dutch taking over, even though they have a 25 year relationship.

Believe the Aztec staff does numerous things together and the transition has already been going on so when Fisher leaves there is Dutcher- no surprise for any recruits . Fisher has spread out responsibilities. Also on the recruiting, good portion of it was done by Dutcher at Michigan . SDSU - Hudson , then Fisher is the closer/ final decision maker ,but asks his staff for their opinions . Believe when K. Leonard was on campus this summer there was a picture of him and Dutcher .

It'll be interesting to see if Fisher keeps attending games after he retires, or if he keeps his distance to avoid being a distraction. I'm betting it will be more of the latter.

Very fresh to hear about the quality both on the court and off about Narain . Who realizes it may be best to spend a year ,red shirting, learning from the current experienced guys and working on building up his frame, to prepare for 2016 .
Fisher has numerous friends who have retired and can chat with him, about how to handle being there for the program if and when it is needed, but also letting Dutcher be the one who is charge. The ground work has been set in motion but it is up to Fisher as to when he steps down. Bottom line if Dutcher can recruit and win , he is a good hire . Lose and the clock starts to tick
