Most likely Cherry heads to a PAC school , or Zags unless he gets even better offer from a top 25 school . Likely hood he has SDSU still on his board ?

Here's the most current Rivals.com update after the second evaluation period. basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/news/rivals-roundtable-bol-bol-hot-college-programs-more"... Arizona is a school I heard consistently during interviews this past weekend. Marvin Bagley, Cam Reddish, Miles Norris, Taeshon Cherry and Tre Jones all said they have Arizona in the mix. Not to mention the Wildcats already landed 2018 five-star Shareef O'Neal and are still in the running for top 2017 five-stars Brian Bowen and Trevon Duval. Also, Sean Miller's hire of Lorenzo Romar seems to be a good move for recruiting as well..."

Really sucks that 2 local kids want to play together, but no mention of the local school.

Can't decide if being in someone's "Final" 8 or 4 or 16 and never really having a chance is better than not being there at all.

Schools who offered and left off his lift: Virginia, Kansas, CAL, Nevada, Colorado St, Washington, St Johns, Grand Canyon and UNLV. UNC and Kentucky showed "interest" in Cherry. SDSU is in good company still. The "Final 8" are all strong schools.

We are only there because we are the local school and a solid program. No way he's coming here. I bet if he cuts it down to 5 or 3 we'll still be on his list. I think these kids, parents or coaches feel they are doing SDSU a favor by doing this but I'd much rather see us recruit east of the Mississippi or Canada or Australia then San Diego.

Seeing SDSU on long lists with P5 schools used to make me proud. Now it feels more frustrating. The only thing good about it is for when some of these local kids combine missing San Diego along with less playing time than they'd expected and we get a bounce back transfer.

But how many San Diego kids have transferred back over the years? Seems we get more bounce backs from the LA area. I get why we do because you never know but 99% of them want to go to a P5 school or at the very least go away for college. The should look at changing how they recruit San Diego. You can't use the JAM Center. Only offer if the kid shows strong interest not just looking to add to his collection of offers.
