so is it going to be similar to other years the higher a recruit goes up the ratings board the less likely we are to sign them ? Do hope that guys who play the 4 or 5 notice the involvement that Zylan has in the Aztecs offense?

Would love it if Cherry followed Trey Kell to SDSU. But, there must be some additional under the radar guys at the UA Holiday Classic in Torrey Pines. We still have 2 scholarships left for the class of 2017. Assume one is held for a transfer student.

Zylan could singlehandedly increase our appeal to big men recruits. He plays down low and is not a traditional big man, which very few kids want to be. His development could be a big selling point.

These guys are looking for the best college system for their talents , so maybe if Zylan can show we are a place to show case his talents we may have an opportunity to have him come here - not the stay at home routine . He most likely would look what school can use a quality 6'9" in their offense .

Went and saw Cherry play at Mission Bay last night. He's got a nice stroke and moves well. He definitely does not look 6'8 or 6'9 though, he looked more like 6'6/6'7 but he's probably still growing. He had an off night shooting but you could tell he has a fluid jumper with good form and he hit 1 three and a few jumpers in the game. Hopefully we'll land him, he looks like he's got a lot of potential

any one see him play in the TP event - is he a guy that can play the 4 , 3 or 5 in college ?. With some more work on his dribbling, ball handling, and decision making I could see him playing the 3. His jumper is good enough already, but he doesn't drive the ball much from what I saw. He either gets it down low and tries to muscle it up or shoots a spot up jumper at the elbow or 3, which he seems good at

This kid isn't going to come in and automatically dominate the floor, IMO, however he will be good. Only guys I see dominating day one from San Diego are McCoy and Hands. Have not seen Norris play though
