Taeshon Cherry of St. Augustine HS played well in the Elite #100 this weekend an is projected as a big time prospect. The long, lanky, skilled 6'8" youngster has very bright future. According to twitter he is taking a visit to Arizona In August. Right now only Nevada has offered. He plays at Trey Kells alma mater. A local kid he is only second best to Miles Norris (aztec recruit) at his position.

From Burlison on BB Blog: Cherry – who played with impressive veracity at both ends of the floor Sunday afternoon – is going to be nipping at Norris’ heels for the tag of best “big” in San Diego in the Class of 2018 for the next three seasons.

Hey, his name rhymes with the #1 football player in the 2016 class, so he must be good.

My son played played 5th grade competitive basketball with Taeshon's brother last spring. I saw Taeshon around practice some. His family is gifted with great size and length. Taeshon seemed pretty raw, but being so young, he will have plenty of time to develop.

According to Josh Gershon today, "2018 San Diego St. Augustine forward Taeshon Cherry is on an unofficial visit to #SDSU." Will this lead to an offer?

According to Josh Gershon today, "2018 San Diego St. Augustine forward Taeshon Cherry is on an unofficial visit to #SDSU." Will this lead to an offer? He was there yesterday. I don't think there's any question he has a standing offer. Not sure if he's the type to report them all though. Would be a great get but it's an eternity away from mattering.

Watched him yesterday against Ben Kone and he didn't do anything. He looked really soft. I know he's just a sophomore but he didn't even play many minutes considering his status. Kone is a beast and should be a very good Div 1 player.

Yeah I've seen Cherry a couple of times and haven't been all that impressed. Has the size but needs a change in demeanor. He's young though so tons of time to mature and get aggressive

Perhaps Trey Kell has some influence Saint Augustine HS, playing AAU with a strong Oakland Solider team.
