Its an arms race Colorado State has shovels in the dirt, an now Fresno announces renovations to Bulldog Stadium. Never thought I'd have anything nice to say about that turd of a school, but it looks nice. We need to figure out OUR stadium issue. This will be a recruiting "one-up" on SDSU- we could find ourselves with the likes of SJSU as far as football facilities go- not to mention stuck behind. www.youtube.com/watch?v=gXrUVxgVchk&feature=youtu.bewww.gobulldogs.com/view.gal?id=181624

Looks pretty impressive! I have been up there for at least three games that I can recall and had a good time there. They have loud fans that take pride in their teams. Some thugs, but that is to be expected from a place like Fresno. I just hope that our future here in San Diego gets cleared up. I hope that it is not an on campus idea. I remember all the opposition from the neighbors that held up Viejas for years.

Of this big time promotion while our "leaders" enjoy their cocktail parties, discussing basketball and thumping their chests about a "practice" facility, which--I believe--remains unfunded by several million. Please correct me about the funding. No news...surprise.

Looks cool. I'm sure when it's official that the Butts (Bolts) are leaving town, there will have been ample time for SDSU to be ready to strike very quickly. I would be EXTREMELY surprised if there is not some sort of deal between SD and SDSU already brewing quietly. It would be in both parties interests to soften the negative PR when the Butts formally announce.
All the smoke screens and delays by the Butts are just to try to place all the blame on SD, that way they can maintain some support from SD fans up in LA.

What would you like them to do, announce we're building a new stadium then have the Chargers stay & build a better one on the same spot we're planning to build on?
If the Chargers stay, SDSU gets to recruit to a stadium that will make Fresno weep. If the Chargers leave, then there will be plans put in motion for the future which are already being explored. The latter is probably better for us, but if they stay it won't be the end of the world by any means.
Not much you can do until the Chargers thing is resolved, which shouldn't be too long. You can't undo decisions made long ago re: SDSU's stadium issues. You can only adapt to situations moving forward, and right now we're tied to the Chargers until it's resolved.

That does not seem to be a problem for football as Fresno has out-performed us for decades and continues to do so.

Chargers are messing things up for us? Yes. And yes, I do believe there have been discussions/a plan concerning our future from the brass. I'm just saying it better be a damn good one- particularly the funding part. THEN, just to be on the safe side of things, have another damn good back up plan. Discussions? Plans? Yeah, sure. How serious? who knows.

Pretty sure he wasn't alluding to football. Although I think they have done some good work around campus to not make it so terrible.

Funny; Yes they have beat us 3 years in a row (even though last year was decided by the officials) but… San Diego State leads all time series, 27–23–4

I don't see how we can do a deluxe on Campus Stadium after we pay attorneys fees.
We can't get a shovel in the grown for years.
We did not get the Jam center funded very easily.
Other States help their schools more then California can.
A pro stadium put us at the top. We need more money for salaries soon as well.
