Pretty sure the new UNLV facility has a decent amount of seats. Is this thread about the Mendenhall Center? Or are you saying we should hold our March Madness in Las Vegas?
I'm saying exactly what I said. It appears the JAM Center doesn't have seating while the new Vegas facility does. That is a recruiting and use negative of ours if that's true. And for what it's worth, I looked in the open doors to it during the MGC Tournament and it appeared there's at least 15-20 rows of seats on each side and the full length of the court.

How's it a negative? Didn't realize we need 15 rows for coaches and really doubt we'll have 15 rows of recruits in the house. If we played games there then yea. You don't need them for a practice facility. Most dont.

Think of what that price tag would be for Mendenhall if it was on our campus, that is asking a lot from a base that has already donated a half-billion in the last 6 years. JAM is for utility. Try as we might, we are not yet with the name cache of UNLV, even though we currently have proven our on-court superiority recently. For where we are in terms of college basketball, we are doing well with the recent success, investing smartly to maintain a high level of success. Saying "why aren't we like so and so" seems like a disservice to the efforts of the donors, the facility planners, and the basketball team and staff. It's building blocks, and they are getting just desserts right now.

Probably not. Ours: $15 million. Theirs: $25 million They are adding things we already have next door which is weight room and medical stuff... If you really want to get fancy our practice facility also has a running track on the third floor with a vip parking structure underneath which our players will have acesss.

As you can see VCU is using this promo piece to help in their recruiting for 2016 , trust we will doing a lot with ours also . would also guess the technical things can be added if the coaches think they maybe necessary . VCU may also have more space and money to add things . Bottom line ours is getting done on time , could help for recruiting, sponsors and player development very soon , plus believe it is paid for . Nice to see former Aztec players C. Hopkins and X

standiego Coach Fisher has been using the JAM Center for recruiting since before a shovel was laid to it. If I remember correctly, he said it played a big role in landing last year's 3 freshmen.

yes they have used the computer visuals of the proposed JAM center, the last couple of years, but now there are actual visuals of the real JAM Center . Reloading for 2016 will be very important and that recruiting , starts now , setting up visits . Many battles for recruits are going to be intense , JAM Center being finished and on time , could be very valuable .

Doug McDermott visited our campus this week to use our facilities and posted an Instagram picture with Fisher in front of JAM center. "Big thanks to Coach Fisher & Staff goaztecs for allowing myself @doublegfor3 and @taylorbraunn to user their facilities this week during our stay in San Diego. Great program even better people."
