Based on Fabiani's comments last week, I think it's clear that they want downtown so they're putting on this act of good faith with the city right now with MV but it's not going to get done. This Dec 15th vote will never happen. We'll just have to wait until it finally comes out that the negotiations have shifted to downtown. I just don't know why the Chargers kept saying that they're fine with either downtown or MV when it's clear now that they aren't. They talk about the city wasting time with CSAG but they're the ones wasting time by not being upfront about their feelings about downtown. Because neither the team, nor the City can afford downtown. The Chargers are hoping that the County would work with them to make it possible and that is NOT going to happen.

The NFL pushing out rumors that Carson is on equal footing or in the lead is not surprising. They're creating leverage for the Chargers and Raiders against their current cities.

The denial of Charger honks will never cease to amaze me. Never? I have come to expect it and would actually be amazed if they weren't in some sort of denial

If your definition of support means donating money, we'll just have to wait and see. I've "supported" plenty of efforts on campus by donating my time and money and quite frankly don't feel a need to do much else. "We'll just have to wait and see" for what? I sincerely appreciate your previous support of time and money on behalf of San Diego State University. You asked me if I'd support a new Aztec football stadium when we don't know for sure IF that stadium will ever get built. Hence the wait and see. I still don't believe the Chargers will leave San Diego and I do believe a new NFL Stadium will be built here. Pretty clear isn't it?

Acee expects focus to shift to downtown if both sides agree to shift focus to 2016 rather than the end of the year. . Given that the carson deal expires in April 2016 I don't see that happening.

Please forgive me if this has already been stated (have not read thru all 26 pages of this thread) but just some LA based tidbit. USC has been talking for sometime about remodeling/updating their collesium. Many have expected news by now on the plans that would take roughly 2 years to complete. Some are speculating/talking that they have not made any plans/announcements bc USC is keeping the doors open for a possible temporary NFL team home (1-2 years). It had been noted that Dean Spanos has been seen coming out of USC's AD Pat Haden's office sometime this spring.

What I do with my money is my business and whether or not I support a SDSU only stadium will be decided when and if they choose to build one. This may or may not ever happen especially as I know how long it took Cox/Viejas to get through the courts and finally get built.

You still haven't figured out Acee is a tool and seems to believe everything, including the lies he's fed. AJ Smith must have laughed his ass off over the draft rumors he fed Acee that he subsequently printed. He knows nothing more than even you do about what the reality of the situation is.

I'm glad it's clear to you because it's unclear to me. I have plenty of reason to not like quite a few things Sterk has done and to commit to financially backing his plan or whoever might be the AD at that time is not something I'm going to do. I'm glad you're going to commit blindly into an unknown plan. That's not for me.

Where did you see that the Carson deal expires in April of 2016? That is a very important piece of the puzzle. I am sure that it could be extended, but still it is a milestone to keep track of. Nice catch MD.
