Not a scam post. Legit. He is doing at one of the local high school gyms

When Skylar's FT% improves this season...expect his offensive game to take off as well. It is believed his "fear" of the FT line has really slowed his potential offensive game. For those that have been here most of the time with Coach Fisher...Skylar could really have an "Aeric Sanders" type of leap his senior season.

30 second clock , more up tempo offense , led by the front line of Pope, Spencer, Shepard attacking the basket supported by Allen , Chol, Cheatham with feeds from JH and company . Could be very exciting .

Looking forward to watching him come into his own, along with Chol. Senior-itis has a way of greatly impacting players.

All I'm saying is, I'll believe it when I see it.

Was scared this would be another thing suggesting Hutson might land the assistant opening at Arizona.
If Spencer can start shorting around 60% from the line and it helps with a couple more points a game then great. I'm not expecting it to translate to another 5-8 more points though.

AZ is hiring Mark Phelps to replace Damon according to Scheer. Maybe I'm naive but the timing isn't right and Hutson won't leave SDSU for another assistant job with how close he is to being a HC

It would be great indeed. But I see no reason why Spencer is not capable of scoring a reliable 6-10 points a game, with an average of about 8. That might be made up of a couple of put=backs (4 pts), one straight fg (2 more) and two FTs. That would add up to 8 points; not a lot, but enough to make the other team pay attention to him. That would indeed give the team a boost. The bottom line is that, as great a defensive force a center may be, he can't be invisible on offense. AzWm

AzWm IDK at what percentage he'd need to shoot FTs for Fish to keep him in at the end of close games. That's what has been taking away his minutes on the floor.

AzWm YES. 8 points on average should be do-able If his free throw rate improves considerably (60%+), I could see him getting more than 8 points a game. He has been very reluctant to work inside for fear of being fouled and opponents have hacked him rather than allowing a clean look. With a new confidence that a better free throw rate produces and opponents not willing to foul so readily, he could use his quick moves inside to produce good scoring opportunities. When not fouled, his back to the basket moves have been decent. He has a nice move to the middle from the left side and finish from 5 feet. If he adds spin move to the left to lay it off the glass and practices passing out of any double team, he could be a weapon on offense. Having a PG who can penetrate and dish would add a few more points. The key is being efficient. 8 points shooting 4-6 is a huge plus but if if is 4-10, not so much. I would like to see his averages: Per 40 minutesFG 4.3-6.8 FT 3.4-5.3 3P 0.0-0.0 (yes, this is a joke) That would be 9 points a (30 minute) game.

I hope Skylar improves his offensive game but the dude has won 4 NCAA tournament games and will probably be 2x mountain west defensive player of the year.
I agree with Coach Fisher's sentiments, so many people want to talk about players cant do instead of appreciating what they are.
Skylar is one of the best post players in the history of San Diego State University.
