I think our coaches are doing a fine job recruiting and have no real complaints. That other teams in our conference are getting more talented players is all the better. Don't we all want the conference to improve?

Don't we all want the conference to improve? I wrote the head-line as much for shock value as well as to point out that other (west coast) teams have stepped up there recruiting efforts with high profile ex-NBA players and coaches. In the MWC, the Aztecs and Rebs are the only teams consistently attracting 4* start athletes. However, as we've seen more and more 3* star kids are coming to the MWC and transfers too for more PT. UNM, Nevada, Boise and Fresno look to like they will get better while, CSU has lost many of last years starters, Wyo lost there star POY in Larry Nance. UNLV picked up transfers and 5* star Zimmerman and 2 top 75 recruits. The battle will be between us and UNLV. Boise a dark horse with Anthony Drmic coming back and 2015 MWC newcomer of the year James Web III.

Didn't know Kendall Small transfered. I remember him swearing his loyalty to unlv when rumors stated he would follow Hutson to sdsu

What those three also have in common is that they'll leave the program they're at as soon as a better offer comes along.

The PAC had an excellent job of HS recruiting for 2015 . Plus is off to a great start for 2016 with recruiting HS players and transfers . Zags are there also . So recruiting for the top 100 HS guys is only more intense. Rebels lead the MW in recruiting for HS quality talent for 2015 and 2016 . then Aztecs and then BSU . Most of the other schools in MW , WCC and even BW , get a player or so from top 150 , but need to rely on transfers . 2016 will be very important for the Aztecs to reload as we lose all 3 starters up front and back up center . So far we have 1 Verbal Narain ( top 50 or 100) . Quality over quantity . As of today we will have 4 returning players for 2016 $; Allen , Kell , Shrigley, Williams with some amount of experience but will really need to improve , plus first year players 3: Zylan , JH , BJ . and red shirt Max , So 2016 we are going to need at least another Quality Player up front with Narain and Zylan , quality SF that can replace Malik in creating offense , possibly SG . So at least two more top 50 recruits . We can say how well we are doing recruiting, after the fall and into early NLI first week of November in 5 months . the better HS players are out doing the AAU circuits .

Tony Bland this week is killing it with recruits. Three years ago USC BB wasn't on the map.

if USC gets a bid to MM and wins a gets a win or two they could make even more advancements in recruiting .

Bland and other may do recruiting , but it is the HC that is the leader once players are assembled . You need quality players and then you need to have them work together to get the results USC is now getting , in a very competitive conference.

Manteca HS just won the CIF Div III title, lead by 6'8 Kenny Wooten and 6'6" Tydus Verhoeven, here's what the press is saying about Wooten. BTW, MWC Freshman POY Cameron Oliver returns as well.
"Kenny Wooten (Manteca): It’s a good thing that Nevada Coach Eric Musselman signed the 6-8 Wooten to a National Letter of Intent in November because, if Wooten had gone unsigned in the fall, he’s be one of the hottest “big man commodities” in the Class of 2016 this spring, with programs from every “power” conference in pursuit."
That was evident Thursday night while he scored 24 points with 13 rebounds and 11 blocked shots in the Division III title win against Ayala.
LA Times "Somebody at Nevada needs to double check to make sure the letter of intent signed by 6-foot-8 Kenny Wooten of Manteca is in good order, because after the performance he turned in Thursday night at Sleep Train Arena, anyone and everyone would want him.
All he did was score 26 points, making 11 of 13 shots, grab 18 rebounds and block nine shots in a 60-51 victory over Ayala in the state Division III championship game.
Not sure who provides stats but it was a monster game.

Uh no. Nevada and Northridge will not be recruiting near our level anytime soon. There is nothing to beware about I would not discount Nevada. They are going to be the Aztec's main competition very soon.
