Nevada continued to hit the transfer market hard as the Wolf Pack landed a commitment from Brown transfer 6'6 220 lb. Leland King 14.6 ppg and 7.6 rpg, shooting 47% and 75%. King is a CA kid from LA who will have 2 years left to play at UNR. According to Verbal Commits, Nevada has 16 guys on scholarship. Not sure how taht works when the NCAA max is 13. verbalcommits.com/players/leland-king/photo/1 Technically, it's 16 with scholarships and/or commitments. Not sure how many of those have actually signed LOI's or have any paperwork binding from the university? Definitely not more than 13.
My guess is they have a good idea some won't qualify academically. No way around the 13 rule. The good thing for Mussleman is he has a couple months for it to sort itself out, although still if Verbalcommit's numbers are accurate it's still a poor tactic IMO, if nothing else.

Starting to look as though UNLV , SDSU and BSU can get some Quality HS recruits. Lobos , Reno , Rams , USU , Slow Pokes... may need to rely on transfers Fisher relied on transfers to build this program. It takes time to establish a winner before you can start grabbing top recruits consistently especially if you're not in a P5 conference.

Believe scholarships are just 1 year deals . Players can transfer out and coaches can decide if they are going to offer a player a scholarship another year or not . IU this year was up to 15 guys that were "on the roster" for 2015 . Major reason Max decided he better look for a school closer to home in the West. Believe PAC was looking giving recruits 4 year deals , not sure where that is at now ?

If you haven't noticed there has been a lot of activity in Reno since Eric Musselman came to town. He has signed 4 players in the last couple of weeks. The biggest name is Lindsey Drew, brother of Larry Drew II, son of NBA player Larry Drew. Lindsey was the LA CIF POY at Fairfax HS, he decommitted from ASU when Sendek was fired. Drew stands 6'4" Missouri State transfer Marcus Marshall signed last week, he is a 6'3" shooting guard from Minnesota (Rivals 3-star.) Today, Nevada signed two additional players; Jordan Caroline 6'7" SF from Southern Illinois, a 3-star (ESPN) kid out of the famed Montverde Academy. And most recently, Suffield Academy (CT) 6'-foot PG Juwan Anderson from Oakland, CA. It's still located in Reno Nevada? Poor mans Vegas

Poor mans Vegas Reno could be equal to Boise, CSU and the Loblows in the 2016 season, he is building momentum up in Northern Nevada. Would like to see him kick Southern Nevada to the curb.
