Yea, i linked that last week. Good video, especially at the 1:45, 3:25 and 5:02 marks. Show his abilities and smarts. Could develop into a player.

I think he has potential, and really could help in the shooting dept in a couple years.
Now curious if Aaron still makes the trip? If so, then means Noreen is going 2016 route.

I don't want Aaron now.
Leave an open scholarship, and land Cage.

If Narain reclassifies Aaron will not have an scholly---unless another player transfers out. Yea, and my guess is they already have a great idea as to what Narain will do. So probably means he's a 2016 lean, or at least is willing to push it IF it means adding a couple really good teammates to join him.
And don't think someone transferring out will be the answer. You're not going to get all 3 - Aaron, Hoetzel & Narain in 2015, and end up RS all 3. Just don't see us RS'ing 3 players. 2 Max.

Max had a very good first OOC game vs Miss Valley State , 19 minutes , 19 points , 19 rebounds but 1 for 6 on threes. but then stats started to dip .
During the Regular season of the BIG conference play . he never scored more then 6 points in a game . Was 7 for 19 FG . 3 for 9 on threes . 14 total rebounds for the whole BIG conference play .
Going into the Spring with new recruits IU had 15 players set to be on scholarship for 2015 . so 1 player left then Max said he wanted to head back to CA to look for PT .

How many times are you going to post the same thing (& in how many places)? And how long until you realize he was a FRESHMAN, yet still DID PLAY in 15 of 18 conference games, including several close ones?
If you don't like him and don't think the video shows you anything, I get that. To each their own. But the fact he played, and on a good Indiana team, as a FR is only a positive. Especially knowing who he played behind.

So we are at 12 scholarships now, 13 if Narain reclassify's to 2015 and we would be done. Shaq Aaron comes to visit the Mesa this Friday. With the commitment of Hoetzel there is only room for one more addition in 2015 and no way to have Hoetzel, Narain and Aaron together unless we lose another current player to transfer. W e will have 3 spots for 2016 (+1 if Pope goes pro) and Narain if he waits until then and have room for Cage and Bailey, plus +2 in 2016.
Its a numbers and timing game for the Aztecs. Aaron looks less likely with signing of Hoetzel and Narain.

I actually prefer Hoetzel to Aaron, just based on fit and needs.

Looked up Shaquan Aaron. Absolute stud out of HS. I'm sure he'd fit in just fine as an Aztec. I didn't realize Aaron was a Mater Dei player, before transferring to Taft, before transferring to Ranier, before transferring from Louisville. This next transfer will be his last. www.gocards.com/sports/m-baskbl/mtt/shaqquan_aaron_918857.html

Aaron is an intriguing talent. My concern is that he has gone to five different schools in the past five years. Only Jerome Habel had more schools on his resume, in recent memory. Red Flag?

Habel had something like seven schools in six or seven years. Because of his BBall talents there was always another school willing to give him another chance.
Aaron does not seem to be arriving with the sort of baggage and stories that Habel brought with him.
There is a legitimate question to be answered: So, what happened @ Louisville?

Aaron is an intriguing talent. My concern is that he has gone to five different schools in the past five years. Only Jerome Habel had more schools on his resume, in recent memory. Red Flag?Without a doubt a red flag, especially when you add in the fact he was suspended for receiving illegal benefits and Pitino had troubles motivating him. Pitino isn't one to have issues motivating someone.
I'm sure his meeting with the coaches is going to be a lot more involved when it comes to being a good teammate than Hoetzel's. No doubt he's a talent, but a lot of talented players struggle to fit in (& he's never stayed long enough to fit in) & that can be even more magnified while redshirting, as they can feel separated from the team.
if he's had a reality check & is willing to pull himself together I do believe he can really help us, but definitely have concerns.
To bad he's not going to get SD weather while he's here. Instead he'll be getting Eugene/Seattle weather...
