Kind of weird at the lack of posts on here, huge get for us. He's going to be really good. High level rebounder, decent shot blocker, and skilled. +1. Absolutely terrific get!! If reclassifies to 2015 even better!
I wonder if reactions are tempered by Smith decommitting? Really isn't final until papers are signed, & if he's not 2015 then that's nearly 6 months away...

I think the reactions are MANY... just spread out over 8 or 9 different threads on the same topic...

Maybe it's because our expectations are higher now than they've been in the past. It's not a big surprise any more when we are successful at getting a great recruit.

Narain has a very important of his game , per his HS coach . Not only a great player but has a great BB IQ , really knows the game plus awareness of his team mates , also helps that he can hit shots from inside or out .

I wonder if Narain reminded Fish of a young JJ O'Brien since he has that "BB IQ". I would love to have another player like JJ only better finisher at the rim. Looks like Narain is more athletic too.

My wife and I attended only one practice last season. It was also the only practice Nolan attended as well. Your welcome. *sdcougs was with us as well...but it was not his only one. I get all credit for this one.

When a hitter smacks the ball over the outfield fence it isn't an "official" home run until the next pitch is delivered. But waiting for that pitch to cheer is kinda silly.

Hitting a home run is more parallel to signing a LOI, and that's a stretch. This is more like cheering at the sound of contact. Often it goes out, but a lot of the time it's a fly ball the center. Never said to not be excited. Quite the opposite. But as is common these days, until the ink is dry a lot can happen. I'm looking forward to him signing scholarship papers.

How many recruits have verballed to us and didn't sign when we still wanted them? It is like hitting a home run and failing to step on 3rd base.

Did you forget about Smith already? It's common these days unfortunately. It can happen to anyone, just ask Izzo. Missing 3rd would be him reclassifying to 2015 and then decommitting or him signing and not qualifying. If 2015 recruit its weeks away and significantly increases the odds, but still isnt a done deal. Ask Izzo. Signing day could be 6 months away. It's contact.. Sounds awesome and very exciting, but no runs yet.

Based on the last video, he reminds me of a more athletic Mo Abukar. If he can be close to the shooter that Mo was, and a better finisher around the rim, we'll be in good shape.

I don't think it is very many for hoops, especially upper class commits. I remember how poised Fish was with Bill Self a few years ago and made some comment that it wasn't customary to poach verbal commits. It seems that there have been more recently but that's a perception.
