Just hope this opens the door for some other commits. I can see an amazing front line shaping up.

If Nolan is a 2016 get, does SDSU have two or one spot left for 2015 if needed?

Just came here to say I approve of this verbal commitment. Hope he stays loyal and doesn't pull a keith smith on us.

The Oracle reads this commitment by Narain as a probably confirmation that MJ Cage is not coming to SDSU.

If Nolan is a 2016 get, does SDSU have two or one spot left for 2015 if needed? If '16, then no paperwork will be signed until November when he signs a '16 LOI. So no scholarships used up for '15, and thus 2 left.
I do believe we'll hold 1 open for 2015 until after the Shoe circuit, just in case he decides to reclassify to 2015. I would assume the coaches have a good idea as to how realistic that is (reclassifying) so if we sign just 1 player in the next month or two there's a good chance he'll reclassify. If we sign 2, then we know he most likely will not.

The Oracle reads this commitment by Narain as a probably confirmation that MJ Cage is not coming to SDSU. Hope you're wrong, but does raise the question as to how compatible the 2 of them would be together. Personally, I believe 6'10 talent can play with 6'10 talent, even if both are 'natural' 4's or 5's. We recruit players, not positions.
Personally, I like Ben Kone at the 5 to go with Narain and/or Cage - I'd love to have all 3!! We'd figure out a way to get all 3 on the court a LOT.

I'm hoping that Narain comes in this year and redshirts. A year lifting weights and learning the system would put him further ahead than if he just came in next year. Look at Zylan he's put on over 15 of muscle and will be a much bigger factor next year than he would have this year. Plus Narain would get to go head to head against a great shot blocker for a year in practice.

Cage is a center he has like a 7'2 wingspan I read

Great pick-up, was fun seeing him at the game when he visited... seemed like a long shot at the time, but not anymore.

I'm pumped! Nolan is a huge get for us going forward to ease the transition after spencer/chol graduate. I can easily see him getting a good amount of minutes his first year on campus. Good moves around the basket and doesn't mind banging down low. Been a while since we've had a big capable of stepping back hitting the occasional 3 too!

Cage is a center he has like a 7'2 wingspan I read Yes, but I read somewhere he believes his future is at the 4 and has talked about playing there in college.

It's amazing to me how far the program has come....when SDSU goes after highly rated recruits I am actually surprised when they don't commit to play on the Mesa! No more "re-building", it's just "re-loading"....love it.
Add Cage and we are looking better than ever.
