Just pathetic, nothing at all to gain. How can Sterk have issues scheduling 12 games?

They are going to have to work hard to sell this one.
Home games are...
USD South Alabama Fresno State Utah State Wyoming Nevada
That's two years in a row without a marquis game at home. Not a good move towards 40,000 in the stadium.

Just pathetic, nothing at all to gain. How can Sterk have issues scheduling 12 games? "SDSU ran into scheduling issues for a couple of reasons. The Aztecs had a series scheduled with Navy that would have included ‘15, but that was cancelled when both teams appeared to be heading for the Big East in 2013. When SDSU opted to stay in the Mountain West, a non-conference series with San Jose State was eliminated because the Spartans are part of the MW. In working to fill out the ’15 slate, John David Wicker, senior associate athletic director, said he received verbal commitments from a couple of schools who later reneged. Wicker said one particular school changed the parameters and wanted SDSU to travel first. There were “really good conversations” with one SEC school, Wicker said, but it didn’t work out."

Well, attendance should be good for this one.

Absolutely bush league. Rather play 5 home games and save the cash. Pathetic effort by AD

So basically it is a scrimmage (since won't count towards bowl) that will be held at The Q.

Not a good move towards 40,000 in the stadium. Rotating PAC games start again next year. Those should help. AD needs to schedule a second marquee HnH each season though so we have a P5 coming to the Q every season.

So basically it is a scrimmage (since won't count towards bowl) that will be held at The Q. pretty much. Very similar to some of the BB games we play every year.

Isn't it the job of an AD to prevent and correct problems, not exacerbate them? Seems like Rocky and Sterk can be counted on for myriad excuses.

1. Just pathetic, nothing to gain and much to lose. 2. How can Sterk have issues scheduling 12 games? 1. Amended for complete accuracy. 2. This decision shouts LOW BUDGET OPERATION.Not only didn't they pay to get a legit FCS opponent here, they cut a deal with a local yokel they obviously hope will fill 5K-10K extra seats. As I said before, if any jealous players on that pissant team cheap shot any of our guys and injure them, I'll be furious and The Rock should be even more so.

I'll steal a tweet from a friend of mine to justify this game:
@vinnyfromstate Alternative is to open on the road at Cal with a new QB. Not ideal. Live reps are live reps. Even at $350k

I guess in trying to be proactive and join the Big East ... we created some unintentional problems -- then when we rejoined the MWC, we created more: "SDSU ran into scheduling issues for a couple of reasons. Wasn't UCSD intramural available? Or, too much travel expense?
