per ziegler UT
The Aztecs have sold out 55 straight games at Viejas Arena. The school has a 750-person wait list for season tickets, and annual renewal rates have been north of 95 percent in the last three years. Renewals are due May 6.

Renewed! I wonder if there will ever be a feasible way to expand the arena. If we're selling out now, imagine what we'll do after we go to the final four in the next few years.

A lot of seats opened up after the last big price increase. Plus there seemed to be a lot more unused seats this past season. I doubt the renewal rate will be has high as it's been recently. Hopefully fewer ticket brokers. I think a lot of people on that waiting list might get tickets this next season.

Is that 750 people or seats requested?

I'd guess people bc there is a $150 deposit and based on your number you can add seats for your party, but just a guess

One thing the ticket office should do, and I have talked to folks in that office about it, is set up a system where season ticket holders can donate tickets to the university. It would have to be like a day in advance and the school could resell the tickets. The donation can be added to the tax information that is sent about the current seat donations. That would give people an additional motive to donate the tickets. There is no reason for empty seats when other people really want to go to the game.

There's always stubhub..............its only a 5000% mark up........... That would make those tickets to the New Mexico game only $2,500 each.

Correct me if I'm wrong on this, my memory fails me more and more often these days, and I don't know if ANYBODY has ever mentioned this before, but didn't Steve Fisher used to go around campus trying to hand out basketball tickets to students? If I'm way off base here, please do let me know. Maybe it's another school I'm thinking of.

With a 95% renewal rate and about 9,000 seats available to the public, that would make 450 seats available for people on the waiting list. An average of 3 seats per season ticket holder would make season tickets available for about 150 people on the waiting list. This ignores any seats taken up by current season seat holders increasing the number of tickets they are able to buy.
Hang in there those of you on the waiting list. It's worth it.

Will be interesting to see if there is a sell out of all the season tickets . Do agree would be great if ticket holders would give back tickets they can not use , as early as possible .

It's true - Back in the early days, he did give out tickets to students. He's referenced it many times.
