Yes to either of these guys. We just need to go after someone who can put the ball in the basket, regardless of their position.

Both these SG could take over , with MS as a back up , if they also play D . ( usually a positive in Fisher's system ) . then have JH , and KZ at PG with TK playing either position and JH .

As Mitt Romney would say, I have a binder full of 5th year senior guards; here's 5 players. - Aaron Crosby Illinois - 7.8 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 1.7 apg
- Derek Gordan UMass - 9.8, 4.9, 2.7
- Lonnie Jackson BC - 7.0, 2.2, 1.8* Jr year DNP
- Damien Lee Drexel - 21.4, 6.1, 2.3
- Adam Smith VA Tech - 13.6, 2.6, 1.0
- Troy Lewis Clev State - 16.3, 4.4, 3.0

Taped and watched the game JH played in the CA championship game ,at PG . He is very definitely a PG , passes well , moves quickly to the basket . Can hit some outside shots , but really tries to set up his team mates first , if not can create a shot . Would say he and or either KZ or W will be able to be a vast improvement over AQ/ TK at PG . He also has decent size, plays D and helps rebound.
So then it depends on if the coaches want to bring in a scorer at SG , to play in front/share time at SG with TK , and MS . I would let TK go back to his natural position of SG and stay there . do not know if the scorers you mention also play D . As we all know if you do not play D , you may not get the PT .

Pretty much any senior transfer who can immediately come in and contribute would be great or that open scholarship we have this year is kind of wasted doing nothing.
I think a senior PG is a little bit harder to gauge than other positions coming in, especially because the ones we would go after would probably be from smaller schools/conferences.
Look at Doolin for UNLV this year, he really wasn't that good of a ball handler.

I'd take a TJ McConnell right now right now.

I don't remember any coach claiming they were looking for a PG but I do remember two of them saying they would like to add a scorer.

It'd take the pressure off a freshmen asked to come in and play PG, too. Great to get a freshmen off the bench... chasing a 5th year senior for minutes...

Coaches have said we need scoring . So make a decision is there enough from MP , ZC , WS (if he returns ) TK , MS and finally some from our 5/C position , ? So if not bring in a SG , to start in front of TK ( who is a SG not a high quality PG ) and MS . Saw JH he is a quality PG . Make a decision do the coaches want JH/ KZ and DW to start now and be the PG for a few years or is it bring in a PG for a year to work with JH . Have at least one PG red shirt or transfer out as we have seen 5 or 6 guards is over load .
If all the guys come back that is 12 scholarships , do you want to hold #13 just in case or use it on a transfer . First coaches better have a handle on who is coming back to if and where to add a scholarship or two . Big question is WS , if he comes back then we have WS , MP , ZC and DA ( if he stays) . We could have only 2 MP and ZC . BJ is coming in but sure seems as though he will need to add to his frame ,if he wants to get PT .
Also believe the coaches need to look at the style of offense they want to play . There is no X or JJ . Is it time to use the athletic guys we have and run a little more . JH and KZ both come from that type of offense , but does Fisher want to go with that style . So know the offense you hope to run and make sure we have the players to make it work on offense a well as defense.

If none of those guys pan out... then sure, the open scholarship would go to this guy.

If none of those guys pan out... then sure, the open scholarship would go to this guy. I disagree. Our low block presence is not changing much next year, notwithstanding Jones' arrival. This year Angelo and Skylar combined to put in 8.1 PPG over 31 MPG. They were at 54% shooting on a season total of 210 shots (JJ and Winston took 320 and 339, respectively, for comparison). Together AC and SS grabbed 8 rebounds per game. Tollefsen is listed at 6'9, moves well and can jump through the roof, it would appear. He played 31 MPG and put in 14 PPG over 31 MPG and similarly made 53.5% of his 329 shots, but that included shooting 111 three-pointers (of which he made 37.8% -- only one Aztec, Malik Pope, was higher at 40%). It also means he made a fantastic 61.5% of his 2-point field goal attempts. In his 2 games against Gonzaga this year, he put up 18 points and 21 points. Against BYU he put up 12 in the first game and 22 in the second. He would add more size around the basket and better offensive support both in and out of the paint. Obviously can shoot. Typical long, mobile, dude who can play multiple positions. That's why they want him. From what I'm seeing, he's an incredible nab. As for point guard, it will be handled by committee again if Hemsley is not ready.
