I think theres a lot of other variables that matter... such as who you foul. If you foul a Skylar Spencer type it's obviously in your favor

The game in question had two teams that were scoring on a high percentage of their possessions. That is one of those "other variables". For SDSU this season, it would usually be a bad idea. The Aztecs defense is really good and the Aztecs offense can't score well in last second situations.

Whats crazy is he had a study a few years back stating you should NOT foul when up three in a late game situation. I was wondering about this the other day though, interesting what numbers point to.

Is it more important that they have a rule that if you foul a player , intentionally who does not have the ball say a Skylar Spencer - you get 2 FT's and the ball . Same thing for any foul in the last 90 seconds . Toss is a 30 second shot clock . Reward teams that can play defense and make shots more then turn it into a FT shooting contest , that takes 15 minutes for the last 2 minutes . Also if the other team has to call a time out because they can not get the ball in the front court in 10 seconds , say at 9 seconds , then they should have only 1 second not another 10 to get it across , or at least start under their own basket again if they give them 10 .

The study wasn't so cut and dried. I think he come to the conclusion that you should foul in most instances, but not all.

There is already a rule against intentional fouls. It just isn't called like it should. The game where Skylar was fouled before the ball was put in play (twice) is an example of it not being called. It was called correctly in the following game. I'd just like it called correctly, especially when it is so obvious. The 10 seconds in the back court rule change would certainly help us with our defense. After all, you don't get to reset the shot clock by calling a time out.
