This forum is specifically called "Aztec Sports" that's why. I frequently see threads unrelated to sports moved to other forums. In no version of this board & its predecessors has talking about SDSU non-sports activities ever been considered "off-topic." Read the next line of the title of the forum... "Everything of interest to the SDSU community - Aztec Talk."SMH. Maybe you just have a thick skull, but I'll repeat again...very often non-sports topics are moved to a different forum. Whether you agree with that or not is beside the point.

To which forum would such topics be moved?

Arguing about whether or not a thread is OT, is OT. Come to think of it, commenting about arguing whether or not a thread is OT is in itself OT. It's like I'm stuck in an MC Escher print and I can't get out!

Why would we build an engineering building when we need a new stadium?

Who would we get to design an engineering building? We should pay a ton for it!

Make it a huge, one story, engineering building ... with a stadium on top.

Who would we get to design an engineering building? We should pay a ton for it! Probably the top engineering/project management firm in the country: www.clarkconstruction.com/

Make it a huge, one story, engineering building ... with a stadium on top. What better way is there to teach the young impressionable Engineering undergrads than to put them to work on that on-campus, on-building, stadium?!? Great thinking, AzTex!

Glad they are sticking with the mission revival style for all new buildings. Those 1960's and 70's buildings like the music building, EBA, PSFA and Adams Humanities really didn't do much for the identity of campus. Its nice to see they have adopted mission revival as the go-2 theme for SDSU.

If we get the Q site for a west campus I'd really like to see some of the current buildings campus torn down for a stadium site on the mesa. Those buildings could be replaced by new buildings in MV. That we we'd truly have an on campus stadium. I know it won't happen because of parking and traffic. But I can dream.

I know it won't happen because of parking and traffic. But I can dream. I know it is a concern, but in all reality, we have enough parking spaces on a Saturday to deal with a 40k stadium.

And this is related to Aztecs sports how? The academic side is important if we're ever considered to be invited to a major conference. If you think Boise State will be considered strictly for their football program then you have tunnel vision. Just saw this. Boise State in a discussion of academics? Really? They make Washington State look like the Harvard of the Palouse.
