Anybody else here bummed that the MBB season is over, especially when you start thinking about how looong the off-season lasts?
It just feels like a big let-down. And that's not all due to Duke smacking us down. I am addicted to Aztec men's basketball.
I'm not much into college football, so that's not something I'm looking forward to.

Still could be a lot of nervous MBB fans as we wait to see what guys , return and what guys either turn pro( MP or WS )? or transfer ( names being tossed out there DW, DA or KZ ). As of today we have 12 scholarship players - can give 1 more or save for 2016. If guys leave that also opens up scholarships . So numerous fans , daily check the transfer(waiver wire) .or in the recruiting section Also worry as Coach Hutson is checking out if there is a good HC job . Coaches all head to MM , to chat about things , possibly see if they can line up OOC games, also possible transfers ? , there is also late signing season for 2015 recruits, end of April Fisher and family go on vacation to Florida . Believe coaches can work with players who are enrolled in SS . Also recruit guard JH is playing in the CA section 2 championship Friday . 2016 recruits are playing Saturday ( Cage and Kone ) Also in August the JAM center could be ready to use ? So there are basketball things to take a look at .

Zabo said he's coming back. Only guys I see possibly transferring are Allen and Williams. Williams more so than Allen, but the 2 are good friends so I could see both leaving if 1 decides to go.

I know our Aztecs are done, but I am still enjoying every minute of the Big Dance. MBB is not over yet!

The way I look at it, we're already 3 months in the bank for this year, and hoops really begins 2 months before the calendar turns. So we got this. Just use the next 210 days to recharge the batteries, come back fresh for what I think will prove to be one of the more interesting seasons in SDSU Basketball history.

College basketball is the best sport we have in San Diego.
I'm definitely a little sad when it's over.

Well if you miss Aztec basketball that much there is a partial cure this weekend for you if you don't mind driving around 120 miles. X Thames and Jamaal Franklin play each other at the Toyota Sports Center Tomorrow Friday the 27th at 7pm and Saturday the 28th at 6:30pm. X Thames plays for the visiting team the Fort Wayne Mad Ants and Jamaal plays for the LA Defenders Tickets start at $25 I believe

Ugh, did Ucla benefit from favorable seeding or did they just peak at the right time? I guess Alford's luck runs out tonight vs. the weasel. Can't pull for either team.

ucla has a bunch of really good players. A team like that always has a chance to do some damage in the tourney. Think about how many of those guys Fish would have taken. Hamilton? Looney? Parker? Powell? And more?

Powell, ugh! I'm pretty sure missing out on him has never sat well with Coach Fisher!

Hopefully the Padres will add a little excitement to the off season. Spring training now and by the time the last pitch is thrown, it will be close to opening day for Aztecs basketball.

Would speculate if we had beaten both BSU at home and Wyoming in the MWT - we may have moved up to the 7 or even 6 seed . So we had our chances . UCLA took advantage of their games and won , both lucky and skill .
Believe the HS Championship games are on TWC Sports Network live today and Saturday , also tape delay , for JH's game today .
Also saw the NBA - D league games are also on TWC .

I can't wait for next season, but during the interim, I can watch Leonard and the Spurs (probably until June), follow Aztec Baseball and football, and during the doldrums of Summer take naps watching the Padres.

Powell and Hamilton both thought SDSU was not good enough for them, we tried to recruit them. . We do not have the connections to get the two guys from the East areas: Looney and Parker .

SDSU B-ball team is doing very well right now, and Pad's should be fun! Will bridge the gap...

A factor of luck (UAB beating Iowa State), seeding (SMU was not that good), Alford shooting unconsciously, and a player making a very dumb goaltending call.
