You're dumber than dirt. Do I have to post the exact info for Arizona and Xavier for you to get it right? Obviously since you didn't get it right above. Also, Mark Few is only 52 and has had a C-i-W for years. As I wrote earlier..Bill Grier was a C-I-W there back when Few was in his middle 40s. How did that hire work out for USD? FAIL!!! Is Few ready to retire? Doubtful. Come back to me with any examples of C-I-W in college basketball that has worked out. Until then, just shut the F up. You are a funny, silly man.
So Grier, knowing Few was going to coach another 10-15+ years, deciding to move on to another position on his own is the same as Fisher coming into his final years & Dutcher staying loyal to SDSU and to him? That makes PERFECT sense, right? They're both about the same age; same situation. EXACTLY the same. Got it.
If Few does hang it up here's a clue for you - they WON'T GO OUTSIDE & INTERVIEW anyone else like you're so desperate to do. The job is Lloyd's! They have faith in Lloyd & believe he's a better answer than ANYONE else out there. Here's another clue, and maybe you can connect the dots - had Grier decided to stay in Spokane they were NOT GOING TO OPEN UP THE INTERVIEWS TO EVERYONE either. Now do you get it? The Zags WANT to do the same thing we're doing - handing the reigns to someone they believe is qualified for the job. Like us, they believe this is the best answer - CONTINUITY. The difference is Few is MUCH YOUNGER & those coaches didn't want to stay loyal to Few, unlike Dutcher to Fisher.
As for Xavier, catch a clue. Tell me again who at Xavier is or was in their final years coaching and/or NONE OF THEIR COACHES even retired at Xavier. Gillen, Prosser, Matta, their head coaches, left for better gigs (See the difference = HC's leaving does not equal retirement). Sean Miller left for a better gig. Yea, that situation parallels ours perfectly.
Whooooshhhh!
No go back & figure out another way to not get it & to justify your bias.
4 schools out of over 300. You're an idiot if you can't figure this out which is pretty obvious that you can't. Again, find 1 that worked and come back but until then don't waste my time with your bull$#!+. You must be a chick since you can't stick to the subject.

Why do you insist on our program being in the exact same situation as all 350 other schools? Here's a clue - it's not. Gonzaga WANTS what we're doing; they've set the plan in place HOPING their assistants will remain loyal. Dutcher has proven loyalty beyond the patience of most assistants.
It's the right plan, whether you're too blind to see it or not. USU paid 10's of thousands for a search firm only to hire within, with many in their organization questioning why they went through the process. We actually have faith in our assistant coach & believe he's more than qualified for the position, and don't need to spend 10's of thousands to figure that out.
Luckily our AD looks at OUR situation & isn't, unlike you, someone who does what the masses do, even though the situations aren't parallel.

Don't stoop to his level, sdcoug. His bullying style of argument is heavy into personal attacks; it should get him warned and/or banned.

Don't stoop to his level, sdcoug. His bullying style of argument is heavy into personal attacks; it should get him warned and/or banned. Gee legkick that hurts. I use simple logic at sdcoug can't seem to fathom due to his/her biases. I'm NOT trying to change sdcoug's opinion because that obviously is impossible. As I've said, I don't care what sdcoug thinks or wants as I have my own opinion on the subject. As I've stated, I want the BEST possible coach for State as the good folks at Utah St did. They looked at ALL their options and chose the one they thought was best. We are NOT looking at all our options. sdcoug has berating me over and over for being biased. bull$#!+! It's sdcoug who is biased towards Dutcher. I DON'T CARE WHO WE HIRE AFTER FISH AS LONG AS IT'S THE BEST POSSIBLE CANDIDATE. With the C-I-W there's NO WAY to KNOW who the BEST POSSIBLE CANDIDATE IS. This is my last post on this subject as I've wasted far too much time on the subject. If sdcoug is willing, I'm willing to buy him/her a drink at the banquet and if he/she wants to continue to the conversation that's fine. If not, we move on.....agree to disagree. ....and legkick...your input was very valuable. thx

Sdcoug, you are offensive in your bull$#!+ about “you must be a chick, because you can’t stick to the subject”. Did you mean to address AB, who originally said that?
