If Shep comes back as does Pope, they'll be a great tandem. They're both good passers with court vision. With Cheatham in the mix, Shepard could slide into the SG position. Unfortunately for Kell, I don't see him staying a PG. Anyway, that's next year. We have St. John's to take care of. Isn't Pope a senior?

Fish said that he submitted nothing Shep and Malik's names to the NBA for an evaluation and should hear back in a week. Once that happens he sits down and talks to the players about the NBA review and their future opportunities in the NBA and at SDSU.

Odd that we'd get coverage in Sacramento regarding a non Sacramento player. Glad to see it though.

Zeigler wrote an article in the UT , saying WS had not really decided what he wanted to do for the 2015-16 season. was going to talk with his family to see what is best for him and the team . Same article MP was leaning towards coming back . Fisher would try to get information from the NBA . Believe final date to decide is some where between April 10 -15th . Fisher has said . If you are top 15 you go . 16+ decision time ( but no sure bet you land in the first round ) Second round no guarantee money so would suggest you come back
WS is frustrated that at least one of his team mates at Findlay Prep has been in the NBA . Not sure what Avery will do this year . The other forward who came out of college last year has not made it and Bennett has money but not played up to his press clipping as #1. WS feels he has not performed up to his potential . Question lies does he see playing at SDSU for his senior season as an opportunity to improve his draft status , also does his family need the money . Does he believe if he can help SDSU with a deep run into MM , it could boost his place in the draft or just keep him back from making money somewhere NBA or abroad. Is he close to getting his degree and the importance if BB is his way of life ?
To me Aztecs are a far better team with him . Especially if the offense starts to run and play up tempo . A style he and other played in HS . With WS , MP , ZC , DA at the forwards , plus JH or Zabo at PG , TK /MS at SG , SS/AC at 5/C this team could put up some points and numerous high lights .

I think Shep knows that he's not ready to try to go pro, at some level, at least, but I can see how hard it would be to sign on for another year, wondering if he'll stagnate or finally show what we've all hoped for.
Watching a little D-league action makes me see how hard it is out there, though. A lot of good guys are auditioning out there. It's a whole lot more fun to do that in college.

Sorry I was thinking of Polee. I'd better stick to football.
