From the very start. How in the world do you allow a much smaller, much less athletic Boise State team to beat your ass on the glass time, after time, after time, after time. WTF!!!! Where was the effort and intensity on the damn boards???!!!!! Boise may be a better shooting team(who the hell isnt), but in NO WAY should they EVER, EVER be able to out hustle and out work a more athletic Aztec team on the boards. Truly an extremely and equally gutless effort by the Aztecs tonight. Truly disappointed in their effort, toughness(or lack there of) and hustle on the boards tonight. Most frustrating team I have seen in the past 5-6 years. Truly not a very good team to say the least. Disappointing.

They had a week to prepare and came out like this?
Goodbye auto bid.

They had a week to prepare and came out like this? Goodbye auto bid. Pretty sad, my friend. And in front of your home fans to boot. Obviously, you could see which team wanted it more. This team lacks heart, character and leadership. From the players to the coaching staff.

Very poor strategic game by our coaching staff and they made zero adjustments also.
I agree that the offensive rebounds absolutely killed us in the first half, we should have been up 15 at half.

The players on this year's roster are all soft. Even our "big men". We just got spoiled with the Kawhis and Malcolms and Joshs of years past. Spencer and Chol should be cleaning up the boards, but they get boxed out. Chol can't even catch the damn ball.

Out scored by 11 at the half worst choke in years. We lack poise.

This is the softest bunch of prima donnas I have seen from an Aztecs team in the past 5-6 years. Perhaps all of these "4-5* players" put a little too much stock into their own hype. They're clearly not that good, or anywhere close to their over bloated star rankings. They're indeed soft like charmin. Getting pushed around all game by a bunch of midgets. Pathetic and truly soft.

This is what happens when an offensivle challenged team gets a week off, they are 29 games into the season and still can't make a shot. Lots of standing around, no rebounds, no hands; embarrassing effort is an understatement.

I just assumed the coaching staff kept hammering rebound fundamentals into our guys, but as it turns out, it was all individual heart based on Kawhi, Malcolm and Josh.

You're right, OP. It looked to me like a case of Aztec entitlement early on -- and then a case of Aztec bewilderment as the Broncos zoomed past. Boise State just made plays all night, and put themselves in position to make those plays. Nowhere did that show up more than in O-end rebounds and 2nd chance points.

Not out hustled…out shot. No team in NCAA can win by putting up under 50 points.

The offense really comes down to ball movement. Every loss has been characterized by too much hero ball. When they share the ball and make the extra pass this team can still be very dangerous.

Not out hustled…out shot. No team in NCAA can win by putting up under 50 points. So agree. In the first have they got stuck on 17 and allowed Boise to crawl back in before half. In the 2nd they had 39 with 11 minutes to go and proceeded to score 7 the rest of the game. As a matter of fact they were outscored 24-7 over the second part of the 2nd half. It's just pathetic and impossible to end another teams run. In the end they should be ashamed of this result considering all that was at stake.

Early on they did, but way too many passes were mishandled into turnovers. They got the ball in the paint a lot, only to bobble it or miss shots.

Have to say we were out hustled, out played and out coached. What I don't understand is if they are going to have 4 guys in the paint, 6 feet from the basket how we can be standing around with nobody open. and not sure why WS,AQ and TK put up stupid shots with 24 seconds on the shot clock at 8 -10 minuts. Also why didn't Spencer play for 7+ mins in second half while the ponies out rebounded us? And somebody tell me what Chol brings to the game.

It's clear to me this team lacks serious intensity and leadership. If you took a look at the Boise State players, they were fired up, going for every loose ball and pumping fists when everything started to fall their way.
On the flipside, SDSU players had their heads down, were playing lacks a dazical and showing virtually no emotion. Just look at the Aztecs senior leader, JJ. They guy always looks stoic and void of emotional fire. Almost as if he is in a poker game.
This team clearly lacks a killer instinct, as well as emotional intensity. And it shows.

absofreakinlutely one of the worst played second halves in several years. no hustle, no desire, minimal interest in the game, horrible shots, watch the bsu players jump while you suck your thumbs, day dream on d, worry more about where you'll go in the draft more than winning, just plain dismal.

Disappointed that we didn't compete down the stretch. We played like we had nothing to gain. Poor effort. Watching Arizona and Utah laying it all on the floor. If you can't get up for a conference championship game, against a rival opponent who blew you out on their floor...what's the point. I don't mind the lose. Just go down with a fight.
