I'm nominating the local DL guy that is similar in size to Jerome Haywood. Had a lot of sacks the last two years and has a non stop motor. Owing to rapidly advancing senility I am unable to remember his name.
Any other names that we should be looking for?

Matt Pohl... Very (very) experienced, mature for his age, intelligent, wily, although not as long and athletic as coach wants. Like BYU players, he's a little older than most having been in the Navy. Bleeds Red and Black.

You thinking of Jaquille Bradford (Hoover High)? Surprised he didn't head to State...

Yes! That's the player. Thank you.
He's certainly worth a look as a walkon.

I'm thinking a JC transfer from Laverne College. Like Matt Pohl, he's a little older because of Army service. McQuervo has that fire Rocky loves. The lack of size is made up by his intensity. Natural leader, will be a great example for the younger players. Well, except for the excessive partying part...womanizing...late nights...

Oldie Out Bummer...seen too many talented kids screw up what could have been a great life by not making grades... I went to high school with Marlin Carey (grades weren't his only problem though)... Watched Dillon Baxter play HS ball (SMH)... Hate to see Bradford go that route. Kid could have a real future.

I heard Bradford ran a 4.4 forty at 250 lbs. I'm not sure if this was legit but having that talent beind a huge line would do us wonders.
Oldie Out

If he really has 4.4 speed I'd wanna give him a tryout in the offensive backfield. He'd be load to tackle or a smashing blocker. Interesting player.

After talking with one of the Aztecs recruiters (cant remember the name of fthe top of my head) he said Bradford was closer to 5'9" 220...undersized for a DL...but maybe a cool LB prospect...hope they give the kid a fair shake if his grades are OK.

Some had to go to SDSU and be Marines. Just saying.....

Kaleb Fossum, El Toro HS WR. Was the South Coast League MVP, first team all CIF and OC.
Runs a 4.5 and has quickness just like Preston King had. And he can catch. The dude can flat-out return kicks. He had 4 returns for TDs in a game.

Capoocia from El Cap and Tyree Range from RB are my first 2 guesses, unless they are going FCS.
